I moved to Kayenta Arizona where they are racist and will not allow African Americans jobs... Even sending death threats... They won't allow me to rent empty Trailers ...They refuse to give me a job because of my skin color...These are Navajos Indians ....I've never been In trouble always have respect.. I think as an African American we been through enough ...I'm making a stand and say what makes you better than anyone....We all are God's Children...Bunch of dumb Idiots I guess...still praying for you all

The Department Of State and the Board of Medicine want me to, essentially, go back to Medical School because I want to have my license reactivated. I had retired but it wasn't that long ago. The real reason why they want to discourage me is because of my age, 65. I am in excellent physical and mental health. It's discrimination no matter how one would like to cast it in another way. There are tons of thousands of physicians in the USA, older and younger than me, who haven't opened a book since Medical School. I should know since a lot of them are my friends. As far as CME credits, you would be a fool if you believe that busy doctor's go running home after being at their practice all day and run to dive into a CME course. Who is doing the work for them are their underpaid staff. Plus doctor's go on all expense paid vacation " Meetings" or week long Specialist Conventions sponsored by big Pharma and Health Insurance companys. In other words, I am just as qualified to practice medicine, right now, as your friendly alcoholic or drug addicted family doctor who has a copy of his license on the wall, gathering dust and rotting away. So, the hypocrisy and bigotry, not to leave out racism of the non-functional bureaucracies like the Bureau of Professional and Occupational etc. is naseating. They reissue licenses to some of the most dangerous professionals in the country. Case in point: the Obgyn doctor in West Philadelphia, who was suffocating live newborns was doing his goulish medical practice for over 10 years and the buffoons at the Bureau knew all about it. More horrifying is the FACT that they didn't care about the murders that he was commenting because his practice was in the ghetto and his clients were poor and people of color. So what is going on behind the closed doors of the "Bureau of...." ? I really believe that no one is home.

I am well qualified for the positions I apply for, however, I never get any feed back. You find applications inquiring about your race and tell you it's an option to respond. Yet, you can't complete the application without responding. I come to believe, race makes a difference in the hiring process.

I was hired at burger king in jasper. The shift manager who is now the Gm came to sit in on my interview and asked why are u hiring all these Black girls.. Soon as he got GM stat took all my hours I now have to call in everyday just to see if I'm working. Do I just quit an give up

I was hired by a Property Management Co. who was renovating a Historical Bank Building in Downtown Berkeley. As I began to hire Contractors and began the tedious inspection of Repairs by Urgency Needs. And the fact that the New Upper Management did not quite like anything that I did positive at all! Now mine you I was hired by the out going CEO who was retiring and was Rushed through a Paid Training Program designed for 6 weeks but I was given only 2 days to grasp it all or else! After being flown back from Corporate Office in Orange County and within a 2 week time span I was told that I was being let go. That I didn't fit the Company's look or profile for it's expansion into Northern California! Didn't have the Right Complexion! Even though I was doing a outstanding job according to the existing tenants and supply vendors! Racism is Alive with this Management Company and it's Businesss Affiliates!

I feel like my charisma and positive outlook destroys my opportunity in and around my small town. I come in. Learn quickly. Excel. Then next thing I know some one who's jockeying for position is cutting my throat. Im kind. I'm friendly and loving. I'm a critical thinker so I see views from all angles. I'm not judgemental. I'm slow to speak especially when it's about the work. I'm always asking questions. I'm a fast typer. I'm great with computers. Pick up fast when learning programs very quickly. I get the job. I can't keep it. I try to build a good report w my management. Recently I started a new job that I'm really over qualified for and it's bc I'm testing the waters. To see if this rings true in a very low paying job. Same thing happened a couple days ago. I'm only a week into my new job and the female makes a big deal about how tips work. Threw a fit. Yelled at me. I said nothing until I walked away and I said you don't have to get angry this is nothing to b upset about. I'm asking you a question about work and I get the worst attitude and i get yelled at in front of my co workers. The next day I came into work to look at the new schedule and the female who I worked with said you don't work today and your getting a write up. I said what for. She said BC you yelled at me in front of everyone and the ppl who were near us say it. I said what? Everyone one agree with your lie? She said I talked to the manager (which is her fiance) about it and your getting written up. I said then I guess I need to talk to the GM don't I? BC you got him fooled already. I walked out and went home. Came to work the next day. The GM was there and so was the manager. They told me what she accused me of. Then they asked to hear my side. Soon as I opened my mouth they looked at eachother and knew she was pretending. To make a long story short. I never got written up. I still work there. But I'm quitting tomorrow BC I found a new Gig and I'm traveling for the work. So good by small town. I'm sick of feeling ostracized in professional environments. Judged by my looks. my race. my name . I'm Puerto Rican I live in a predominantly white community. Majority republican. You see what we are letting Puerto Rico go thru? That's what happening here to me but only thru work. I am the expendable negro. I am not worth anything unless I'm dumber than dumb and cut throat back. I need real pay real employment. A real shot. Or I'm giving up and learning how to make a living thru the internet. I'm sick of systemic racism. I'm a Midwest Puerto Rican who does not speak Spanish. I'm worthless. I'm going to move west very soon if GOD don't open a door.

If you're going to be a dick on here take what comes with it. Yes, we are all entitled to our opinions but when race plays a part that is a sensitive matter... Now, to the dickhead that made the comment about "them as in black ppl always using the race card" I was able to take your name, run your name and find out where you currently work then screenshot your comment...you jackass!!

A friend of mine has been trying to get me on his company for three years. I interviewed for a position three years ago and didn't get hired. Last year, he told me about another position and I applied and didn't get hired. The first of June, he called me about another position and this time he would be my boss. I had three interviews and still didn't get hired. He knows I'm qualified and I've been in this business for over 28years. I'm a person of color and I believe that's why I'm not been hired. We see it everyday, RACISM still exists!

Like many of you, I'm still out here looking and hoping to land a good descent job...we know it's a job in itself looking for a job...it would be easy for us to just say FUCK IT but we can't because we have our families and love ones that count on us..Me personally, I feel like I let them down everytime I'm turned away, I have 1 charge on my record, a very bad 1 at that, I'm ashamed of it because I'm not a bad person but I won't take no shit from anyone no matter who you claim to be! I'm sure I not alone in having a record but dam, what more do we have to do for those in a position to hire us? Phoenix is a RACIST state ...white guy came to interview wearing dirty clothes, high as hell with nothing in hand. I had on dress clothes, clean cut, smell good on and brief case...He got the job, I was wtf!

I am a African American women. I worked at WM for about 8 months in Commerce California as a customer service representative and was racially discriminated against. I was fired on the same day of my pay raise. I was on time everyday, I had no write ups or warnings, my performance was outstanding, l never missed any days and I received a lot recognition awards. In May l was promised a promotion transfer to commercials ,instead someone else got the position. I felt sooo bad. WM management was so hostile and racist towards me. I tried to reach out to HR. and management but know response. My supervisor gave me an unlawful write up according to the the LABOR Board Ca. Section 200 because I had a subpoena to go to court to protect my life due to domestic violence I was working mored than 40 hrs a week. How Horrible! I know how you feel Brother.I would like to add on to my WM complaint. I was fired because l was unable to locate a customer's account , in which the customer was not a waste management customer and thought they were. Proir to this incident rasicst comments was being made towards me several times by management. I am African American women. WM call center had about 155 Hispanics employees and 20 African American employees. It was hard getting a job at WM. The average African American in my dept. was employed no more than 2 yrs or less per employee and the Hispanics get a chance to retire from the company. WM is a revolving door for colored people. WM hires bout 10 colored employees once or twice a year and only terminate and rehire colored people only because WM must comply with the EEOC Board. I was fired for no real reason.
