Are you interested in teaching, but don't have an Education Degree? We can help!

Our program allows you to teach with a Bachelor's Degree and a 3 year Temporary Certificate. During your first few years in teaching, you will be able to obtain your Professional Teaching Certificate by completing professional development courses and passing state examinations. Duval County Public Schools has designed the Alternative Certification Program in accordance with Florida Statute Section 1012.56. This program offers professional education preparation through on-line or in-service coursework to newly hired teachers with subject area expertise. Your combination of career skills, education and experience will contribute to your success in the classroom.

The Alternative Certification Program (ACP) is for teachers who are paid instructional Duval County employees in a teaching assignment that does not vary from day to day and who need to complete the professional education coursework to partially meet the requirements for a Florida Professional Educator’s Certificate.

Hi everyone. What sorts of qualifications do substitute teachers or tutors require? What do you think makes a teacher great?

The hardest part of my job search is how the quick computer scans of my resume. My experience is much more in-depth that a title. I have worn many hats that all had expansive duties: I was a Sr. Content Project Editor - that implies editing and writing which i did, but also worked with outside vendors, and involved extensive project management to handle several multiple-volume sets at once. I was a program manager but also trained in front of large audiences every week. Hopefully humans see what the computers may miss.

I am a Trinidadian with a class 4 permit (known as "Heavy T"). I will like to know what type of truck CDL permits you to drive?

I knew how to build every cabinet (Aux Galleys, Midruns,Vanities workshelves and Galley's) & the issues of the build assemblies, I helped them (Design teams in France) with issues of the designs and Catia clash issues. I worked with other Departments to assist them with their issues and wrote (RMEA's) Request for Manufacturing Engineering Assistance and was assigned as a liaison Engineer to fix and work issues.

I want to change job or career. I have submitted several applications, had interviews but still no opportunity. I have reduced my qualifications to reflect what the jobs required but even no chances.
