Well, how to start.... I got these job cause a friend referred me. So I applied and got the job. My first day was on a Friday and yeah I liked it. It was kind of chili; specially cause it was my first time working in a freezer. Well I went back the next week I was told I would go in at 12:00 pm but there was no out time till everything was finished. I said ok I need the job. Well there was this pregnant lady who I didn't knew I was going to take her spot. So she worked till Thursday and I said ok well the job ain't hard. Friday comes I went in to work at 5:00 am and well I was doing my own thing about the job. I ask alot of ? When interested in the job position. I'm a fast learner and all I did in that job was basically just count, anyways I was working with a new manager that they said he's only Fridays manager. Well he taught me alot more then the second shift manager I had. Well the second shift manager arrived and started complaining that we hadn't done alot which the first manager said to me that the second shift guy was already getting on him saying we hadn't done anything. So I told him well we have I got proof at first from 5-7 am was kind of slow but then we where going fast for only three workers including myself. Well about the second shift manager was being rutted to me. Like when they are getting on his ass and wants to get on someone else's cause he can't handle it. Well that's what happened I was working also with the second shift group this guy was like I need help counting grab a paper and pen so we can both count and write to see if there's more cases on the pallets they are asking for 230 cases and I counted more he said. I told him I know I had already counted this pallets and there's 50+ cases. So the second shift manager heard and he told me Claudia don't you worry about it go back with to ask your Friday manager what to do well handle it on our own. So I just told him ok but that I had recounted it and yes there where more cases and he told me I didn't ask you just go and ask your manager what else to do. So I went with my manager and asked him what's next and he said well your fast I like how you work you not just stand there you go help when ask and when needed. You worked hard I'm going to let the supervisor know how you worked and hopefully you are on Fridays with me. Wow I said thank you. So I was feeling a little bit better but still how the second shift manager made me feel like uncomfortable so I told the manager how could i handle this situation and he told me is just that they yelled at him don't worry about it you did a great job. So my shift ended; Monday came and my manager was the second shift and there was a lady that had already quitted on the job went back they worked my ass 12:00 pm to 2:30 am two breaks and no lunch. There was alot to do that the manager told me to punch out at the second break. Well I was hungry and tired. I went home and received a call from the staffing agency saying I was laid off cause the other lady had more experience on the job than me. My jaw went down to like you Know like what the heck is going on I really needed the job. So is like this lady yes I know they say she has more experience but she had quit the job she was asking me for recount and she's staying with my job. I answered the staff member thank you do you have any other job I could do in a sad professional way she said not right now but I will let you know. It's been already two weeks and I haven't been able to find any other jobs. When I went to claim my check the second shift manager told a friend that works there that i missed a pallet count on a trailer and that day I didn't loaded truck's they know my initials and worst of that he likes the lady cause they are going out.
