Job Description

Responsibilities • Prepare needed documentation for artwork translation deployment. • Check corrected proofs against redline mark-up for comparison and quality assurance of received translation artwork files. • Identify content for errors in complex IFU documents. • Detect formatting and compositional errors in documents.

Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in English/Journalism preferred or equivalent work experience required. • Strong knowledge and understanding of the English language • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint desired. • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment. • Attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy and quality. • Ability to prioritize work to balance multiple projects and deadlines. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Exceptional customer service skills. • Basic computer skills required.

Other • Update 256 multilingual IFUs (19-24 languages) • Medical device/pharma experience strongly preferred • Must have strong communication skills; team player

I am seeking work as a freelance, part-time, as-needed proofreader / copyeditor. I have 30+ years of experience in a variety of genres. I am slightly disabled and need to work from home; I can serve remote clients using Word and email. Trying to supplement my fixed income to a point where I'm self-supporting; it's a struggle.
