The department is what you make it. Starting out you get full benefits and paid leave. It is a dangerous job but stay positive and don’t fall to the negative and you’ll do great.

its under paid, over worked and run by the good ole boy system. I had a Capt. on day shift tell me, I would never get off nights and never get promoted. not sure what his problem was but i don't have time for dead end jobs and thats the impression he left me with.
