Feeling un-hire-able
I've had a job ever since I was 8 years old helping my neighbor with her rats and snakes. When I turned 16 I got a job working at McDonald's. Within my first month I had received a small raise. Within 4 I'd been fully crossed trained in every position and was their go to person for coverage. 8 months I moved and was transferred to a different store in their chain. The management was all new to their positions and they had not hired a new employee within the last 5 months (which triggered a red flag for me) I was brought in and within 3 weeks I became their primary opener and 2 of the original 3 were fired. I began working 7 days a week averaging 65 hours a week. Which wasn't a problem because I enjoy working and enjoying spending money even more. About 2 months into the positions problem started to arise rapidly. Employees were yelling at customers and ignoring the drive through. (this only happened when the DM was not working.) Soon after this started the DM accused me of being this person. After explaining that Ive never acted inappropriately with any customers, which the DM from my other store verified. The incidents kept happening and I kept getting accused. One week I checked my schedule and I noticed that I was only scheduled to work 4 hours the entire week. The DM then brought me to his office and stated that this was my last week and that my behavior towards the customers was not acceptable. Again I explained that it was not me but he did not care. I then got a job as a caregiver after a year of doing that My partner convinced me that I should return to school to get my diploma. So I restricted my availability with the care giving company so that it would collide with school. 2 weeks later I was let go because they had not found a client that fit my schedule and per protocol if an employee does not work for two weeks without giving notice of doing so they will be terminated.
I began Jobcorps, and began my education in their Office Administration training program. We are given 2 years to complete this program. Within a month I was elected the Student Body President, I was also tutoring and leading some workshops because out Trade instructor had quit and the school had not found a replacement yet. It took me just under 5 months to complete the program while handling all of the other extra curricular activities i was involved with. This was a new record for the program.
I have now been out of school for just over 4 months and have had no luck finding a job or even getting interviews. At this point I am starting to regret going back to school.
Hoping that I get a job soon. Feeling like a burden on my partner and becoming stir crazy.

It was amazing tell I got fired

The greatest thing I enjoyed about working for #McDonalds was
I loved working at McDonald's. I worked with my best friend it was fun I enjoyed working there but after I worked there 8 months they changed my days of working and didn't tell me while I was away on vactation for a funeral. I got written up bc they changed the schedule but made it my fault for not making it for a shift I didn't know I was schedule for. I was out of state I couldn't do anything about it. I still enjoyed working there I love working with people I miss working I moved shortly after I got written up to my dad's in another state and I haven't worked since and I really miss the ppl interactions
