My advice to people interested in working at #Local79 as a #Shopsteward ...

If your not a hard worker in willing to carry heavy equipment sand bags tools oxygen tanks Plus more and dedicated and willing to come back the next day for the next 10 years and do it all over again it’s not for you.

A stressful day at local 79 is when there’s a dead line working with a brick layer company. And you have to get 5000, to 7,000 bricks on the other side of the building plus mix the cement and carry it from the front of the build to the back of the building. Also moving scaffolding for the brick layers because they have to move a certain speed. And as the bricks get higher the scaffold have to be bumped up so the brick layers could continue to build the building. This process could be very stressful Because it’s so much heavy lifting to do In a short amount of time the stressful part is when you on your 7 hr and your trying to find energy to finish that last hour.
