No more stressing

Finally got Hired on by Kiewit construction. 4th largest contractor in the U.S. They made over 18 billion last year. Employee over 20,000 people, and I'm very grateful to be a part of the team. The project is for 2 yrs. And hopefully I can go to the next big project they have. I wish all of you the best of luck in your search for a new job. God-bless and be safe, because tomorrow is never promised.

My advice to people interested in working at #Kiewit as a #Welder ...

Don't do it even if you need experience. They treat you like crap. You work for free, you are expected to show up 30-1hr early to get ready for work. You are expected to be ready with 5-15 minutes while setting up machine ....and pulling your leads fighting for a machine and leads to work with over 150+ people around you. No organization of tools/ equipment yet a military like structure. There is no set schedule with the good ole "subject to change" hours. Meaning you can work a 12 within minutes notice. You work 13 on 1 off 12 hour shifts and shift work. It's horrible and discrimination is well alive there even if you have passed qualified test there and have experience. Save yourself, your family, friends, and dogs the favor to not kill yourself for a low hourly rate just to make decent money with 70+ hours a week whether you want it or not. People are not being dramatic with saying its slave work. It truly is and the poor workers there are always beat up and tired just to support family.
