If its to easy to get, then it's not worth investing your time
In this day and age, people unemployed, looking for jobs to survive, we have to be very careful of scammers. They're on the best job sites online and just seek to prey on those who they think are vulnerable and sound desperate for money. Please take the time to do your research on these supposedly legitimate employers. If they're asking for your banking information, wanting you to pay money upfront or even send you so called cashiers checks by mail and asking you to deposit it into your bank account with the check being a large amount and only requiring that you get x amount of dollars for yourself and return the other to them through money gram, "Run for the hills" it is definitely a scam. I know if you're like me, you don't have any money to give away or you or I wouldn't be on here looking for employment. Please be aware and if it doesn't feel right in your gut feeling, follow your gut instincts. Please, please, please be aware and careful and much success in your employment endeavors. Please report any suspicious activity concerning jobs to info@jobcase.com so they can look into it and help to protect others from possibly getting scammed.

Beware!!!
I was approached by a gentleman that got my resume off zip recruiter. The position was originally a admin position, then it was a personal assistant.....whatever! The gentleman sent me a check for $3250.42 which included my "signing bonus and money for equipment and software that I supposedly needed. I received the check on Friday and he requested that I withdraw money out of my account and deposit it into another bank account. Ummmm Heck No! He is very persistent and will try to guilt trip you to pull the money out of your account before the check cleared completely. Needless to say the check was returned today and I am out $12 . But it is better than the $3,000 that he was requesting.

SCAM
Just a tip. When a person contacts you that they have a job for you but send you an application or other form BEWARE! I just received an application and a I9 to fill out. Both request a social security number. This is not required and is only a scam. Never give a social security number before being hired.

Beware of applying for Wonder Survey
I received a job referral last week and it was with Wonder Survey. I applied but just didn't feel easy about it. I waited until I received a reply back from them concerning the position offered. Well, they responded and it is not the job I would refer my worse enemy to. You're supposed to be a mystery shopper in Wal-Mart stores concerning their customer service in money gram transactions. They send you a packet by mail with a cashiers check (supposedly )for $2400 and you're to deposit the check into your account and take your $350 pay and send the remaining $950 to an address by Money gram using Walmart. Well after being uneasy in my spirit with this check, I went to my back to find out the check was invalid. My bank called the alleged banking institution on the cashier check only to find out its a scam. The moral of my post is :please do not apply for or cash any check sent by Wonder Survey into your account because you will be paying it back because it's a scam. Thank God for His wisdom. I have no money to give away frivolously to anyone. Please do your homework on these survey jobs to make sure they're authentic.

Proper procedure
Greetings all, I have been searching for an online job since about the end of January. I finally received a response, but I cannot help to feel some skepticism about it. My info was applied to a job site, yet the "employer" is causing me to question the legitimacy of the hiring process. I received the first response via text and email, the second and third the same. What's more is that in one or more of the responses there were some grammatical errors and I am supposed to be a virtual assistant for a legal holdings firm. Maybe I am being a little bias, but I have come to expect lawyers, doctors, entrepreneurs, and reputable companies to have a better grasp of grammar and representation that makes you want to work for/with them. Am I being over the top or should I do more investigation to rule out any scams?

Beware of replies from ZipRecruiter
I applied to several jobs today on ZipRecuiter. I recived a reply from Connie Dixon saying she was getting back to me about the office assistant job I had applied to. The email went on to say that they would send me a check for buying supplies for foster kids. Pay was $650 a week for 3 days. 15-20 hours. She wanted my phone number and adress and would get back to. The email had to no business name nor did it have her title. I replied to her gmail account asking the name if the company ( since that's what she emailed me with) and it bounced back saying it was not a valid email. I know we are all looking for jobs, but just be careful.

Is this real?

Scam alert
Just wanted to give everyone a heads up. There is a scam going on using zip recruiter. They contracted me, told me I was going to have an interview. Had the interview through Google hangouts which lasted over an hour. They told me I was hired and would send me a check to buy software that I would need. They sent me a check for 3800.00 that I was supposed to deposit immediately. Called the bank or was issued on - it was a fraudulent check. The company they say they are hiring for is Al Sayer medical out of Kuwait. That is a legitimate company - the rest is not. Please be careful.

ALLEGIS GROUP SCAM-PLEASE BEWARE
My main objective is alert people of a scam that is occurring with job seekers and hopefully make as many people as possible aware so they do not fall victim to identity theft and fraud. As I am extending myself seeking employment, I often, receive confirmations of when my resume has reviewed. This morning, I received a text from this number: 415-237-7150. The message is as follows: "Good Morning, I am contacting you regarding the Admin Assistant Specialist position. Are you still interested so I can instruct you on the next step to begin." My red flags started popping up immediately, however, partly due to my curious nature and my want to confirm my suspicion I responded: yes please proceed. The next text comes and the person says their name is Michael from Allegis Group. You are then instructed to set up a google hangout and start chatting with a person at this email address: kathleenmarshall86@gmail.com. Now my suspicions are heavily increasing as this is not the normal procedure I had ever encountered with any temp agency. However, my curiosity of finding out if my suspicions were correct got the better of me. After a few web queries , I found that Aerotek is associated to Allegis Group. I did start chatting with a Kathleen and asked if it would be considered a conflict of interest as I had just registered with Aerotek yesterday. The response I received was how much will they be paying you? I said, it depends on the assignment. The following is the next response I received: Oh okay. • You will earn $29/hour • How would you like to be Paid ? Weekly Or Bi-Weekly? • What means of payment do you prefer ? Direct deposit , Check , Wire Transfer ? • What Bank Do you Operate with to see if it tallies with the company's official salary payment account ?
Of course, my suspicions were confirmed and I called the Corp office of Aerotek. A: to confirm if a scam was being run and if it was known by the company that this was occurring. They were aware and have the authorities involved. TIP: You will never receive a text message, You will never be asked to "chat", Their titles are always referred to as recruiters. They will never ask for you banking information in this manner.
