keep your faith

To everyone who has given me suggestions. Thank you all and for the ones who are getting frustrated. Or losing hope. It will come I felt the same way. I updated my resume, And went to interviews. And it felt like nothing was ever gonna come through. But all at once it did . On more than two jobs!. Keep your head up and keep your faith and it will happen.

I GOT THE JOB!!!!!

Today I had a 1:15 minute 28 question exam for Apple IT and a 5-minute interview. And I found out the same day I got the job! I'm so excited cause this is the first legit job I've gotten since I graduated from ITT TECH in '08. But I believe everything that I've been through so far has gotten me to this point, and it couldn't have been none other than the grace of God!!!!

Lost it all waiting on a job. HELP!

After MANY months and hundreds of applications, I finally got hired last week. The problem is that it took so long, I've lost everything. I'm supposed to start my job on April 18th, but they repossessed my car last night. I don't know what to do. I'm new to Columbia and don't have anyone to help. I finally get a job and now I can't get to it. OMG! Literally broke. I've sold everything I can already. Depressed doesn't even cover it.

Not knowing job location when signing job offer

Is it wise to sign a position offer when you aren't told where you will be placed until after you have committed?? I have been through 3 interviews with a company that posted a position close to home. Now as I got closer to being hired, I'm finding out through someone I know within the company that I could be sent much, much farther than I prefer. But I truly won't know until I sign offer and hear from Manager. A friend within told me just suggest that I would prefer to be working at sites within my area...but he also said, regardless of location job posting said... be prepared to be sent to much farther because location because they are in much more in need of help there. Is this alright?? Don't I have the right to mention to Manager, if I am sent farther, that the job position was posted for closer location, and that is what I had in mind when I applied. Or will that have really bad repercussions??

Temp Position

Hi everyone! I need some input. Accepted a temp job that starts next week and it will help my situation out, BUT when I told my Vocational Rehab Job Developer, who has missed meeting with me three times now for different reasons, she wanted me to call my counselor to see if I can accept temp jobs.

Anyone who has had experience or knows about Vioc Rehab regulations would help me or even someone who could give some suggestions would help, too.

Thanks in advance for anyone who can reply!

Helppp.respon.

Hi there Elvira, It's always good to have a backup plan. Which that being said you should research both companies to see what each one has to offer and go to both interviews of you can and hear what they have to say. If they both offer the same thing. Then you should compare the commute time along with the quality of life that each one had to offer and which one will be easier to adapt to. I hope what ever you choose to do works out best for you.
