Unreal!

I get a call from a recruiter and she set me up with an interview with this company in the west coast. The phone interview went real well that they decided to fly me out for a face to face. Fly from the Midwest to the west coast the following week. The face to face went real well. The 3 hour interview with 6 people was one of the best! I walked out knowing I had the job!

The recruiter followed up with the next day and she was told it went great and I should expect an offer by Monday. Monday comes around and my recruiter gets on conference call with the company and they reassure her an offer is coming by Tuesday.

Tuesday rolls around they decide to ask for my I-9 information. I told the recruiter I'd happily provide but where is the offer first. Once offer is received and I accept, I have no problem providing.

Offer rolls into Wednesday and we wait all day. Close to 5 pm, I get an email from them thanking me for my time and that they decided to go with another candidate!

Shocked!

I let it sink in but sent an email letting them know this was unprofessional and unethical, not because they went with another candidate but they stated I should expect an offer and asking for my employment eligibility.

They replied apologizing!

Whatever!!!

undecided Future!!!

Im finally getting interviews and some offers which is a blessing but i have a questions.....In deciding the field im in is fraud dealing with credit cards and i also have experience in Health Insurance, last time i took a position was for a full time position dealing with credit card fraud pay was okay it paid the bills only with alot of overtime....Now i have been offer a full time position in the health field the pay is only 25 cents more and i have received offer for credit card fraud which is double the pay, but the catch is the position are contract jobs..with only the possibility of full time position....I can make the money and then be out a job if it does not turn into a full time position or go for the full time position. undecided

Discouraged

I dont understand jobs,Ihave been looking for something closer to home, because I hate driving in bad weather, and the drive is awful, I applied for a couple places,This one place kept calling and leaving messages,I tried numerous times toget back, left voice mail and text, never received an interview,Iwent on another one last week,5mins fromhome, The hr lady said she was really excited to talk to me,We played phone tag a while but finally got a interview, she seemed nice, and interested. She said they would be making a decision at the end of the week which would have been last week,I never heard,It is really discouaging,I really had my hopes up,I am more than qualified. Why do companies doe this,I would think if they were interested they would not call you,

Taking the high road

So I posted yesterday about having received a verbal offer 2 times during my interview, only to have them email me a couple hours after the interview withdrawing the offer. Needless to say I was extremely disappointed and a bit angry. I've never had this happen before and feel that for someone to do that is extremely unprofessional. But I'm someone who wants to learn from my mistakes, so in an effort to take the high road (rather than sending a nasty email bashing him about being unprofessional) I'm thinking now that maybe I should take a different approach and ask for his feedback to see if there was something I did wrong (so that I don't make the same mistake in the future). I wanted to get opinions on taking this approach to the situation and see what other people think, and what other people would do if they were in the same situation. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Can't catch a break

I've been out of work for the last 6 months. Went on a number of interviews but nothing panned out. Finally - today, had an interview - went to lunch with the owner. Within 30 minutes he offered me the job. We left lunch, went to the facility where again the offer was extended verbally. I asked if he could send me something in writing - he agreed. We shook hands, I thanked him and l left - looking forward to getting the offer in writing. Two hours later I received his email (long and short was....) - Thank you for coming in - but we will be withdrawing the offer. I really can't catch a break!

Depressed and about to give up

I'm trying to get a job in an Healthcare office. Dr, hospital etc just anything. I had interview with a hospital then got called in for 2nd interview. Everything was great, she gave me the pamphlet for benefits I'd receive, my pay and told me when orientation would start. Next day get a call that they can't give it to me now because an internal transfer applied and they have to give to them if applied. She told me to keep watch for jobs that are with the hospital and to call her when there's one I'm interested in so she can get the process going asap to get me a position because her and the other lady really want me to work there.

I feel like everytime something good is about to happen I just get kicked. I have no high hopes anymore after this happened.

Need help! I was offered a job and I accepted it, but...

my former employer gave me a bad reference and the job offer was withdrawn. Do I have any recourse? Can former employer legally do this?

Too much of a good thing......

After a drought of job offerings I find myself in a scenario where I have 3 excellent separate opportunities to land a job in the near future. I have my preferences as to job I would like the best but how do I hold off separate offfers? I hate to accept one offer before knowing the job I prefer makes an offer. Honesty is the best policiy but I can't tell a company I am waiting to hear from someone else; I don't want to force anyone's hand either or should I not say anything accept job and wait to see how everything plays out?

Im so disappointed

I got the job offer for working at Walmart for stocker and a cashier position for overnights. They did my background check and told me that it wasn't not competitive and I called the company that does the background checks called sterling and they told me that they didn't find anything on my background check and Wal-Mart told me that I couldn't work there but I already signed the job offer to start working and got hired. I don't know what else to do. I have a four year old daughter to take care of. And I was expecting on getting this job and getting presents for my daughter and getting my own place and now everything is turned upside down. I don't know what to do. All I can do is cry and be depressed...
