Job Offer-Something I never done before....I have not accepted it yet...need guidance

I recently had an interview and was offered the job, something I have never done “SALES IN THE HOME CARE FIELD” with a fairly new agency. I have not accepted as of yet and in fact, I want to do more research on it. How tough is it? Who can share with me the in’s and out’s of sales?

What to do...??

I received an amazing job offer last week and accepted, with great pay and potential to grow my career. However, I got contacted by another company I had applied for a position but was not hired saying that the manger forwarded my resume to another manager. This position, is a highly sought after position and almost is impossible to get without the experience.

My question is now that I have accepted, should I even go interview? I'm feeling like if I don't at least interview I may not have the opportunity to get in to this kind of work again. I want to be professional and am excited about the first position but don't want to be left wondering.

Signed contract and then rescinded

I verbally and I wrote an email that I accepted the position. I signed the contract, and I had turned in the contact into HR working fom Aug. To June. I turned in most new employee forms along with Dr.s physical. Then weeks later contract was rescinded. Is that legal?

Where are good barns in McHenry County for work

I love to be around horses but don't know where to look. I found one job that is looking for full time and he said to call back in a month. Does anyone know good sites to go to for barn work?

Feeling dumb

I started a new job last Friday. My phone interview my on site interview and my data entry test all went well. Yesterday the training manager calls me in her office and tells me she makes her decision on keeping someone by will and skill. Mind you I still am supposed to have 2 more weeks of training. She tells me she can see I have great will but can see me struggling on the skill part. So instead of letting me go completely they moved me to another Dept where I make $3 less an hour and it's outbound sales. I didn't apply for the first position they had me training for I thought since they put me there my resume showed them I would be a good fit. I feel like I failed. I don't know why I'm posting this I think I need to vent and find out if this has happened to anyone else. I guess I should feel blessed I still have a job and I do. I just feel depressed a bit. Thx for the forum to vent. Have a good weekend everyone

Horrifying Hourly change

I applied on indeed for Intimissimi in Walt Whitman Mall, Huntington,N.Y. The hourly was $15-$17, I got a phone interview with a junior recruiter name Brian. Over the phone one of the questions was “what is your desired hourly rate”? I said $17 and Brian agreed with me and said yes I think you deserve $17 because of all the responsibilities and duties I do at my current job. I get a face to face interview with the hiring manager and I asked what was the hourly and she didn’t understand me she said yes we pay hourly so I said $17 and she said yes. She asked me what I made now and I told her $10 per hour and how much I made a week. I got a call from Brian on Friday the 29th offering me the position for $13 an hour. I told him he told me $17 and he was confused but said okay that’s fine but he’s going to check with the hiring manager but it should be fine so I accepted the position. I had a feeling I wasn’t going to get what I was offered originally even though he assured me I will. He calls me back and offered $13 and thought there was a misunderstanding but there wasn’t any at all. I declined the offer, me and him agreed on $17 an hour and from what I interpreted from Brian the hiring manager doesn’t think I deserve $17 or I shouldn’t be jumping that high since I only make $10 an hour so they went below what the application offers because of the amount I make now and not my skills. I’m devastated, this has never happened to me before. Thank you Intimissimi, that was an experience. Has this ever happen to anyone ?

No official job offer but on 'list of approved candidates'??

So I've been on the most stressful job hunt of my life for 7 months now (I'm a recent grad, hoping to go into Marketing/Media), and after countless upon countless interviews leading to no offer because of my inexperience, I finally came across a Media company with significant interest in me. Four interviews with them later, and I received a call from HR last month stating I was 'approved for the role'. I was super excited, but two weeks with no word/written offer from them started bringing me down again. I followed up with them and they said that I am on 'a list of approved candidates, and the HR person gives offers to candidates on that list once positions open up'. Has this happened to anyone before?? If so, is this a common practice and how long did you have to wait to hear an offer? Im terrified of being unemployed for any longer :/.

Door salesmen

So I was offered a job at PAG&E- that is Pennsylvania gas and electric. The job itself is going door to door selling the utility. Now I for one know that these types of people have a reputation of being shady and the company itself has been in legal trouble some years back for what is known as "slamming" and variable rates etc.

Thing is if I'm good at it I could take home 800 a week. Which is approx what I take home a month. So pretty much should I try to take a job with a company that may or may not have a good reputation simply because it'll pay WAY more than where I'm at now. Cuz I need a better job in general. We've all been there with bills.

Idk. My gut says the offer sounds way too good to be true. But I'm pretty much stuck in a kitchen job until something happens- be it I finally get art commissions or I go back to school and rack up debt.

2 job offers-which one should i take

I recently was offered 2 jobs both 10 min from the house. One pay is low but benefits for me and the family is company paid 100%. It also has incentives and quarterly bonuses. The other is $2 more an hour. It's temp for 90 days then it turns perm. Once I become perm there is an increase in pay. Of course I want to choose the more money job. Both are the same type of job-logistics. Help!!!
