I recently was offered 2 jobs both 10 min from the house. One pay is low but benefits for me and the family is company paid 100%. It also has incentives and quarterly bonuses. The other is $2 more an hour. It's temp for 90 days then it turns perm. Once I become perm there is an increase in pay. Of course I want to choose the more money job. Both are the same type of job-logistics. Help!!!

Worried about my back ground check and I'm on week 2. Now possible new job offer came through, all is cleared having second Interview tomorrow monday. Im very frustrated when I see a job offer on these job recruiting sites you click on it and all of sudden yubr or lift floods the page its a waste of time to look for a job if we are told to go to the internet which includes applying for jobs its all jammed up .Why can't people talk with each other ,its not that theres high unemployment its the stupid mind sent of the employers who in my option seem to critical (sorry for the rant but Im pissed)

Hello everyone, It has been another long day. I was suppose to get a call back from the 14 hour tech ordeal with my new job I: am going to refrain now from saying what company it is but those that have been following know. I was suppose to have a call back today at 9 am well I didn't get the call until 9:30 that they needed to reschedule until 10:30 I was fine with such.

I worked again with tech support desk all day trying to get the issue resolved with this scan disk usb drive well we ran into one issue again after another. The issues were very technical come to find out issue one was the scan disk drive never originally loaded all the correct information there were pieces obviously missing is why the boot up of the usb drive was not happening to get into the companies work booth. ok that problem fixed then we had admistrator issues with the log in account. When my pc was reformatted the other night they never put in an admistrator account. Fixed that then we were having connection issues even though I was connected by Ethernet cable so the tech support ran internet connection test etc nd booom the issue I was only having a speed at 33 percent we didn't discover this issue until around 3 pm. So I suggested we stop where were at and I call the cable company being we were getting no where the files we were working with were large and kept getting stuck at 46% we had already wasted an hour an a half waiting for file to download. So I called the internet company and scheduled an appointment and they set my net gear to a channel saying that was part of the issue it was on auto and not a specific channel so I Said fine just send someone tomorrow. The tech support called back and I told him the outcome we tried again to proceed and nothing so we are goin to resume tomorrow at 4 pm est. Meantime I got a call immediately after hanging up with tech support from the cable company that they could come out right then I was relieved and said sure thing. long story short after working with the cable man it was a bad router so now those issues are resolved.

Now a new issue at hand........ I was checking email to see if I had gotten anything from my trainer that I I have been requesting nothing at all still. Well I noticed this email from Sykes and they that I fit for a certain job they had and to follow this link to read up on the job , the requirements etc. I was ecstatic because how things have been going so far with my current situation I was really having second thoughts.

I read the info and this job would be a retail support associate. It pays more and it is more hours. I can make double in a day what I would be making with this company I am training with now. I read the things you have to have this is where things got tricky you have to have a stand alone monitor, a phone with a mute option ,2 different headsets I believe that is it. It gave exact instructions of the tests etc you have to do before the interview and how to turn the screen shots of the pc test in etc.

My issue was the monitor I have a stand alone monitor but wasn't sure how to connect it to a lap top or if that was even possible so I did some research nd it can be done with an adapter so I am going to try to get everything I need and I scheduled this interview for Monday I am off training that day. So far this new company has already blown the other out of the water from just the few things I have received already.

Here is the big issue though the job with Sykes is seasonal and the job :I am training for now is permanent. so what I would love to do is both........... so I am like I said going to go ahead and interview with them Monday at 7 pm and go from there.

I would appreciate thoughts and opinions of what you guys would do.

Well as some of you will know I had gotten a job at the state prison 6 months ago. I went through three background investigationons drug testing spoke with my investigator and physical. All that was done within a two month time frame I passed everything with flying colors. It's been six months and I still haven't started working it's the prison I'm waiting for to conduct my security training with no start date in sight still after six months. I was already ready to get thrown out of my home with my kids this struggle is real... But I went to a job interview yesterday at Fort Irwin Army/Airforce base and landed a position as a store manager and I start work next Wednesday before my background investigation even comes back I'm stoked to finally start working after looking for a job for more than a year. The possibilities for advancement are unlimited. The prison job was 15 min from my house the Army base is 50 minutes from my house but the pay is well worth the drive. They can keep there prison job I'm done and over it with that place... I truly believe when one door closes another door opens. Don't give up keep looking there's something for every one out there . After putting in over a hundred applications in a years time I did it... finally.....

I've been an Executive Admin in the real estate industry for 20 years. I was recently let go from a position since the real estate agent did not have enough volume. I've recently interviewed with two agents that are high producing. The first agent I interviewed with went very well, I was quite sure I would be offered a position. I was honest with her and let her know that I was interviewing with another agent, that I had previously had a phone interview with them and it went very well. I told her I would be going in for a face-to-face interview with this other agent but was quite sure he would be making me an offer as well. I was honest with both agents in that I told them about the other. Yesterday I received a good offer from the first agent along with a call from the other stating he would have an offer to me over the weekend. Both agents were also aware that I would not be making any decisions until the first part of next week as far as which one I would accept. My question is, I want to respond to the agent that sent me the offer yesterday, to thank her but I also feel like I should tell her that I am waiting for an offer from the other agent to be sent to me as well since we had really good communication. My husband on the other hand doesn't think I should share with her at this time that I'm waiting for the other offer. He says that she will immediately think I'm setting her up for a negotiation situation. There may be some truth to that, since I don't know where the offer will come in at BUT logistically the 2nd offer will be much closer to my home. Anyway, should I be honest with the other agent and let her know that I am anticipating that offer to come in before making a decision.

I moved to Georgia 2 months ago I applied for a EVS and Dietary Aide Position at Houston Medical Center. Came down for a interview before moving here was promised a position as soon I arrived to Georgia. I get to Georgia find out the position was filled my wife had a interview with them she is a CNA she got hired they her to tell me keep applying I keep applying no interview yet whenever I go to the website I see the position has been filled. Its been 2 months I'm collecting unemployment but I'm not the type of person to sit around not working. I apply for any and every position I can still nothing I'm starting to think I moved to Georgia and left my job in New Jersey for nothing. Its really stressing me out me and my wife moved our children down here for a better life and different environment but I don't know now. If anyone knows of any job opportunities can you please help me out it would deeply appreciated.
