Indecisive on Potential Job
I was presented with an opportunity to interview for a job in my field but I am not sure if I should take their following offer. I was able to convince them to let me job shadow before making a decision but I'd like to pick your brains first! When I lost my last job, I swore I wanted more pay than before (was promised a raise but fired when I called them on it). I am at a point in my career that I should be making more.
This possible position would allow me to stay in my career field, work closely with local government, and have hours flexible to allow me to still have time with my family. I would be expecting to increase my income (hours and pay rate) as the business grows. Unfortunately, pay will start at the same rate as my last job with a base of half of the work hours but could be full time during their busy season and would depend on client needs. I would not be guaranteed any benefits in way of health or retirement (due to company size) but they did say that they would put me in touch with a 3rd party to help me find affordable benefits.
Should I consider a job that would initially pay half of what I'm currently collecting on unemployment (I just started collecting so I still have time) or should I keep looking for something that will pay better?

Had a 2nd interview today with the owner of a new restaurant. He asked me 5 questions that i believe i answered right or him nodding seemed like the answer he was looking for..He told me training would start in a month and that the head waitress would call with the details...But he never actually said "You're hired."" or You have the job and i didn't ask...I asked if i should call he said the head waitress will call you...I shook his hand said thankyou and i said I'll c u on the 5th of December...But im not 100% sure i got the job...Should i call the head waitress in a week or so to say thankyou for recommending me for a second interview and say I'll see you on the 5th or should i just be honest and say i wasn't sure if i had the job ??????Please give me advice on what to do next ????????????Confused ?????

Possible termination
Here it is. I accepted a job and I went training and three days into training I got sick. So I went to my boss and told him. I asked if I lose my job he said no so I went to the hospital the doctor put me on bed rest so I'm looking at my adp I see no employment info anymore. I haven't gotten an email or nothing about being terminated. I feel they terminated me so bad if they did I was suck my lungs had fluid in them I couldn't hardly breath and they terminated me sad. What can I do? Thanks

Needed opinions.
On Tuesday I went in for what I thought was an interview with Farmers Insurance. After getting to the interview, Farmers Insurance informed me that they were trying to recruit me for a Farmers Insurance small business owners position. After noting down as much information as I could I went home to think it over and to discuss it with my husband. I did some research being that I look through the website that farmers provided, and also attempted to contact some of those listed in the same position so that I would get their opinions. I also called a few friends of mine, some of which used to work for Farmers Insurance. Now the friends of mine who have had previous experience with Farmers told me not to take this offer. The few who have no experience with Farmers were overly excited about the opportunity and are more than willing to back me regardless of my decision. I just want to make sure that I'm looking at this from all angles, some that I might see and some that I might not. This is something that is going to affect my entire family and the life that I could potentially provide for them. If there are any one out there who have previous experience with Farmers Insurance or (more specifically) the opportunity that has been given to me please leave me some comments letting me know about your experience so that I may be able to have more clarity when coming to the conclusion that would best fit my family.

Getting Nervous
I received a call on Friday from an employer offering me the job. He said he would give me the weekend to think about it and to get back to him by Monday. I called him yesterday (Sunday), left a voicemail and sent a follow up email. Still haven't heard back today. Not sure if I should call again? I was offered the job but now am getting the feeling that I am no longer a priority.. Help!!!!

Wanting a learned opinion
I have two companies I'm interviewing with. Both are telling me they are going to make an offer in the next week. My question is this.: should I play them against each other before either of them has made an actual offer? I'm hesitant to do so as I'm afraid that might irritate them and make them think perhaps if there is another company pursuing me, they could easily drop out and go with a different candidate. Since neither company has made a firm offer yet, I'm just waiting and interviewing with other companies. So what is the correct thing to do? Tell each company I'm in negotiations or just wait it out? I would like either of them to just get off the stick and tell me one way or the other. At this point an answer - for or against me would at least set my direction.
