Almost four months since my job was cut...
I am trying to keep positive and push forward but somedays it gets frustrating. I have sent out my resume over and over to new opportunities in my area. I am getting the interviews but not closing in on an offer. I am hoping some good news after the new year. I am a digital marketer looking for a new opportunity in the Cleveland area. If you know any companies hiring, please pass my way. TY and have a great holiday season!

Interview
How soon after interview a person starts working

Potential employer
Good morning casers I got a follow-up email from my potential employers stating, "I hope that you are doing well. I wanted to reach out to you as we are still interested in discussing future plans with you. We are still in the process of reviewing the positions within the resort and hope to be able to get with you very shortly. We apologize for this delay and will be in touch with you soon." Hopefully there's an offer coming my way.

Strange days
I have been unemployed almost 6 months. I just received 2 good job offers in the space of 3 days. Both are the shift I prefer working, both pay well, both are respected companies in my area, both maintenance foremen seemed not only knowledgeable but really nice(a nice boss?!). The only difference is quality of life. Meaning, one job I will probably live at, but make a killing. The other pays enough to have a good quality of life, but I will have most weekends off. Working over 60 hours a week is what burnt me out and soured me on my last job. As I get older I am starting to enjoy my weekends off, seeing and doing things I want to do. I love my career, but man can't live on bread alone. Does anyone have any advice or has been in a similar position?

Can an employer require a letter from a religious affiliate to make accommodation for an employee?
My husband was just offered a new job. The interviewer explained that the company likes to have maintain a “wholesome” image/the CEO is “old school” and that he would have to shave his beard. There is no safety concern involved. My husband is of Jewish heritage and is semi-practicing and wears his beard to honor his heritage and religion. He informed the employer of this and the employer gave him a religious exemption form to complete. One of the questions requires him to get a letter from a “religious official” stating that my husband is a practicing Jew. My husband is not a member of a synagogue and does his religious observances at home. Is this legal? Does he have to provide this? I’ve tried doing research and it seems as though it is a Title XI violation and that they can’t require it.

I just got hired but ...
God is awesome! I was looking for a job based on my specialization and God answered my prayer. I just got hired but it’s a temp to permanent position. I also received another in the same specialization but it is a 15 month contract position. It’s a big manufacturing company and there is a possibility to to be hired full time upon completion of the contract. Now I’m not sure which job I should take. What should I do?

Hired, With Two Offers
I’m finally able to pick choose and refuse. Two different nursing home wants me to come work for them. I feel so humbled. It been a long road these last five months. Now I just have to see which one works for me and which salary I’ll take. Keep doing the foot work, god will take care of the rest.

Indecisive on Potential Job
I was presented with an opportunity to interview for a job in my field but I am not sure if I should take their following offer. I was able to convince them to let me job shadow before making a decision but I'd like to pick your brains first! When I lost my last job, I swore I wanted more pay than before (was promised a raise but fired when I called them on it). I am at a point in my career that I should be making more.
This possible position would allow me to stay in my career field, work closely with local government, and have hours flexible to allow me to still have time with my family. I would be expecting to increase my income (hours and pay rate) as the business grows. Unfortunately, pay will start at the same rate as my last job with a base of half of the work hours but could be full time during their busy season and would depend on client needs. I would not be guaranteed any benefits in way of health or retirement (due to company size) but they did say that they would put me in touch with a 3rd party to help me find affordable benefits.
Should I consider a job that would initially pay half of what I'm currently collecting on unemployment (I just started collecting so I still have time) or should I keep looking for something that will pay better?
