Stay or go?

Got a job at U.S. Foods as a selector but the pick rate is insane. Not sure I can keep up. Got a job offer as a correctional officer at the marion county jail 2. Making 18 at U.S. Foods and the correctional officer position pays 15. Any advice?

Four Interviews Yet Still Awaiting A Job Offer!

I've been on four interviews and two more to attend tomorrow. With my exceptional customer service skills, great work ethics, and awesome personality I wouldn't have questioned me being in a position already. Sometimes I feel less of a person because I have experience and skills jobs are looking for, yet don't want to pay the salary that's deserving. I have great faith in my savior and know everything is in his timing not mines. I just need to work to support my son and self. If anyone knows of even leads please respond under my post. I'm praying I'll have a great job with rewarding benefits and salary so my son and I can live comfortable. Not asking for much..... Praying and hoping this week. Again if anyone knows of any leads please respond in the reply box. Thanking you all in advance!

Hired no start date?

I was told I was hired by a temp service in another state that has been contracted to find people in my area for a huge well reputable company in my area. I have not recieved a start date. I have not recieved the information for the background check, drug test, TB test. It has been 2 weeks since I was told this. I am anxious to get started. Any input greatly would help.

How to handle

I started working for a very nice mom and pop company about 4 months ago I had been on the job a couple of weeks when I got a phone call from a company I had applied to 2 months prior and even told I had the job the same day but the never told me when to start I heard nothing from them until the phone call they ask if I could get my business pic and insurance all paid up and they would give me the job, I didn't have the money right then so I told my new boss about what they wanted he said I could use his so I have the phone numbers to contact each other to exchange info well long story short he's doing the job not me. The other company offered me a job only 4 hrs a Wk not the 15 or so a Wk that he's doing. Should I say something or just be happy with what I have I know some company's give a percentage for referrals.?

How long before this company notify's me if I got the job or not?

Had an interview june 30. Meet with HR coordinator, took a 35 minute exam, apparently got 1 question wrong out of 18. Then meet with HR manager, and 2 Account Manager, whole process took 2.5 hours. Account Manager looked HIGHLY interested in hiring me and ask when I can leave my current job. Send another email to HR coordinator she said I would be notify be early this week. Any clues what I should do next? has it been to long? It for a Staff Accountant role.

Contract Position

I have been for an Interview through a Recruitment company. The client interviewed me and all went well. I was informed a a day or so later by the Recruitment that the Client is offering me the position but is busy at the moment and will draw up the contract which I will get in beginning July. I went for the Interview mid June. I was excited. While waiting for the contract in June I was offered another potentional job but I declined it as I knew I have a job and i am just waiting for the contract. Now after weeks of waiting still to get a contract and still are promised one and to hear when is my Start date with the company, I want know what law is there to help me claiming from this Client for loss of Income. He igonores calls from Recruitment and also at times replies to say I do have the job. Now the last week and bit he ignores completely all emails and smss and call from Recruitment. Meantime I am in the dark and declines other job offers. Please assist.

I am shocked

About 7 months ago we moved out of state and I found that most companies where we moved to did not want to get involved with someone that was not already situated in the new area. So I started to work remotely for my old company until they decided that they needed someone there all the time even though I proved that it could work.
So I proceeded to start my search. Well I went to several staffing agencies and after weeks and weeks of time searching I was called for an interview. So about 3 interviews later the company I met with wanted to bring me on Temp to Perm. So I agreed. I was told from the start it was going to be locked in at a certain salary. So everything looked great (Wrong). When it was time to go perm the company told me that they could not afford that high of a salary and low-balled me by 30K. To say I was sick to my stomach is not even close. Especially after all the praises and long hours I put in. Well without anything else in the pipeline I had no choice but to accept. So I guess my advice to everyone is Beware. Even though I had it in writing I could have refused but then what.
Does anyone have any suggestions or do I just hang in there until I find something else.

OK... I was extended an offer of employment. Does this mean I have the job??

Just got an offer of employment, but I haven't done the paperwork or gone through the one day training (which is really just a 2-hour session where I'm to learn what I'll be doing and familiarizing myself with the products) just yet. Does that mean that the offer can be retracted until I complete both of those things? Just curious. And nervous. Very, very nervous. Because he extended the offer almost on the spot and I'm just a bit scared he's going to think back on the short interview and possibly change his mind.

Two offers

I currently have two offers and don't know which one to pick. One is a relocation offer with a big company (Market cap of over 10B) and another is with a much smaller private company that is a pioneer in their field and average employee size is 25. The pay difference is 30k (smaller company is offering 30K more then the larger one). Internal recruiter for large company said the budget for the department is very big however at this time they cannot offer more money. What do I do? Is there a benefit of working in a large corp vs small?
