Before your interview at #ITT Technical Institute make sure to...
... check your calendar to make sure that you are not in an alternate dimension. On September 6, 2016, ITT Education Services (the parent company of all 130 campuses of ITT Tech) filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy protection. I was one of the countless students who had just completed a program at ITT Tech. Two years before, ITT Tech rush-enrolled me and got me approved for my student loan. What ITT Tech did NOT do (something that any other reputable institute of higher learning does) was run a background check on me. If ITT Tech had performed this relatively inexpensive procedure in my name, they would have learned that I had a Simple Misdemeanor Criminal Charge on my record back in 2013. This blemish on my record prevented me from being hired within the industry that I was planning my education around. When I started sending out my resume 2/3 of my way through my program at ITT Tech, I was blindsided by a response from a major industry recruiter who informed me that I was not going to be qualified for employment in this industry. Potential candidates for positions in this industry DO NOT HIRE ANYONE with ANY KIND of criminal charge, no matter how seemingly insignificant the charge might be. In addition to this major blow to my desire to seek an education to better myself in my line of work (graphic design/cartography), I was laid off from a half-time position at ITT Tech as a Work Study Tutor because ITT Tech had their Federal Grant pulled for such employment because of a dispute with the Department of Education. Losing my job effectively caused me to fail my Capstone Course during my final quarter. This meant that I failed my entire program, despite the fact that I was earning straight A's in my preceding quarters. I was locked out of the campus and couldn't believe all this was happening to me 9 years before my official retirement date. The director of the Clive ITT Tech campus called me, as I was picking up the debris of my detonated "Career Betterment" dream, excitedly informing me that I could re-take the Capstone Course if I agreed to take one additional relevant course and I would successfully graduate. I went ahead and took their offer because who doesn't want to finish what they started and GRADUATE? Well, the additional courses turned my $25,000 student loan into a $35,000 student loan, and I received no guarantee that I would be able to find successful employment. It really didn't matter. On August 24, 2016, I completed my program. Two weeks later, ITT Tech went unceremoniously belly-up. This meant that I never received their worthless Associate in Science Degree or any documentation that I graduated from my program. To add insult to injury, Navient, the Federal debt collector who was assigned my loan repayment portfolio, informed me that I had completed my program, so I was still responsible for repaying my "dead horse student loan". I was so furious, I turned six successive shades of purple! I did some digging and someone in the Navient hierarchy advised me to file for Borrower Defense to Repayment designation (BDR). The Trump Administration completely ignored these BDR "nuisances". However, 6 months into the Biden Administration, I was granted approval for my BDR which completely discharged my $35,000 "dead horse student loan" effective immediately! My only remaining question was difficult to find an answer for... "Who was going to reimburse me for the loss of 5 years of productive time that saw me barely scratching out a living stocking grocery shelves, cleaning school classrooms and bathrooms, cleaning hospital operating rooms, delivering pizzas and Chinese food? Nearly one year ago, I was involved in a very minor collision in the delivery SUV owned by the Chinese man who owned the restaurant. He fired me immediately, and he forced me to move out of the little room I rented from him in an empty house that he still owned after moving to a much nicer house further into the western suburbs. For the first time in my life I was rendered homeless and unemployed. At age 64, with over 40 years of employment under my belt, I had had enough!!! I unceremoniously retired. Now you know the rest of the story. There are NO INTERVIEWS being conducted at ITT Tech. There haven't been any of those for over 5 years. I'm sorry to give you the bad news. Or, for everyone's sake, the GOOD NEWS! #bankruptcolleges #gettingcheated #deadhorsestudentloans #wasteoftime #criminallyculpablebehavior #whitecollarineptitude #forprofiteducationalinstitutes #ruineddreamsforbetteringoneself #warmbodymentality

Something I learned at #Itt ...
I liked working there as it showed how intrigued I can be as I started, where they told but I decided to start at the beginning and make them all the same and complete.

What I loved working at #ITT-Inthemiddleeast
Working hand in hand with the military.
