Finally HIRED!!!!!
Don't give up!!!! Be persistent!!! I was finally offered a position! At 50 yrs old, I thought I would never get hired or have to take a job making far less than I was making.. but it all worked out in the end!!! Yay!!!

Do not give up....HIRED!
I am 60 years old, been out of the work force for 17 years. After sending out numerous resumes with no response I took a part time minimum wage job with our public library. I spent at least 2 hours every day sending out resumes. I am positive I sent out at the very least 150 with absolutely no response. I changed my resume around still no response. My husband kept saying do not worry there is a fit out there for you and it will be perfect. I applied for a job that sounded right up my alley, and lo and behold 25 days after sending in the resume I got the interview phone call. They received 223 resumes and had scheduled 17 interviews. I thought this is a waste of time but will be good practice so I went. The interview went very well, they said they would make their decision in a week. The next morning I got a call asking if I could come in at 12:30 to talk with the director, should not take more than 10 minutes. I went and sat down with the director and we talked for over an hour. I got the call yesterday morning I start on the 5th. I am very excited and just want you all to remember not to give up...the perfect fit is out there for you.

Finally Hired
Thank God After months of unemployment constant rejections, and overall stress of not thinking I'm good enough. My determination and faith kept me going. I swear I thought of just giving up. I start September 6. I am so thankful and happy right now. For those of you who have felt like giving up.. DON'T GIVE UP. Joy comes in the morning Amen

Thank you
Hi Everyone! I have been away from this post... been checking. I am working for a private school, have had a part time contract position, so with so many prayers, I am getting back on my feet. Thank you for those messages about jobs!

Old 69 going on 70 in January. I just interviewed at Shutterfly as a machine operator. I start next week. I've been operating machines all my life. Here I go again. I'm starting a new career. I'm not ready to retire again.
Still going strong. I don't drink or smoke. I'm still very healthy. Unbelievable!!!!!!

Finally Found A Job I Love!!!!
I am so happy. I finally found a job where my ability to learn quickly and dedication to perfection is valued. Not only that, it's a job that I can handle despite my medical issues. God has blessed me and I must say, there really is something to the power of prayer ♡

Finally
Applied at winner Dixie, did the drug test and background check. Was told by manager I would hear one way or the other. I gave up after a month, then I finally got a call after 2 months and I start training tomorrow. Sometimes it pays to be patient. It's a nice 52nd birthday present two days later. Hang in there and know what it is you really want. 11.50 isn't bad for a start here in the keys. Plus benefits
