This is my community. The sick and elderly should not be forgotten. They have already paid their dues. It's our turn to take care of them.

I am reminded not to take good health for granted. None of us knows when or if it will be necessary to ask for help due to an illness or because age has affected the ability to perform a simple task.

This is simply a situation where a few of my neighbors are either elderly or physically challenged, and they have no family near them. I live close enough to them to help. It's common decency.
