Can't find happiness if you can't define it.

Although the lack of work can place us in a survival mentality, having clear defined goals that don't revolve around just "making ends meet" can change your life results.

Action step: Push your goal out a bit and aim higher. If you have an income goal, double it, if you have a time frame to finish something, cut the time down. If your goal is point B shot for point C.

We can't reach goals we don't have and you lose nothing by changing your target as long as you are still taking daily action, but you do gives yourself the chance for more!

Push your goals out today as it might help you realize the mental blocks that stop you from even contemplating a better existence.

Good luck & You got this.

Kicking The Blues

Many times we experience depression, either short term or long term. Let;s face it, life is challenging, stressful and down right difficult at times. Stress can be introduced in a variety of ways but how can we cope with the pressure we put on ourselves? If you are like me, being an over achiever can be exhausting. I will be honest, in work or play I am always thinking about how to improve the event or job. I see companies failing employees and no longer interested in integrity, commitment, or tenure. Is there hope? Do we just become like the robots the world is transforming us into?

My suggestion to beat depression and kick the blues in the pants is to give back to humanity and take a break from selfism. The world would tell us to make it about us but that type of theology leaves us empty and dry. I believe the most rewarding opportunity that we have is to give your time, talent or treasure to others in you family or community! Yes, there are those that take without being thankful but who cares.

Giving to others is like having a delicious cup of soup on a rainy day, it warms the souls. What do I need to do? I am glad you asked! I find it most rewarding when I work outside and enrich our community and environment. What I am doing has no reward from others and no one patting me on the back telling me I did a good job. I do it to put smiles on faces that I may never see, I even do it for those who do not share the responsibility in taking care of this place.

In conclusion, find something that will get your focus on others rather than yourself. You may get a thank you or a smile from someone who you never thought would acknowledge your charity. Helping others allows us to be less selfish and allows us to reinstate a much needed balance to humanity! @https://www.jobcase.com/groups/a2a93678-1291-4905-bde2-fe2f00f080eb

What do you think of the role of Emotional Intelligence in the workplace?

Nowadays, "hard skills" are not the only ones we need to advance in our career an d achieve our targets! Apart from IQ, there is also another equally if not more important kind of intelligence, the one related to our and the other's emotional behavior!

Job satisfaction

Not truly measured by the amount you get at the end of the day, but whether the job and experience on same was able to align itself with your career and vision for the industry where you work as well as your next level goal. So, it's killing internally. You work but with no internal satisfaction despite plenty of dollars in your pockets.

Are you missing this Key success tool/skill?????

A mindful watch on anyone who is well-accomplished and balanced will usually show this skill. This skill allows one to overcome common adverse circumstances and persevere when negativity would thwart the forward movement of most. What is this skill?

The art of self-soothing. This can be explained as the ability to tell yourself what you would like to hear from others. (Better yet what you think you “NEED” to hear from others.)

QUESTION Truly, are you playing the victim role and feeling deprived of kind words. Do you need a verbal pat on the back and try to force others through guilt or manipulation to appreciate you? Stop it and accept the fact no one knows you like you know yourself. No one could possibly at all times know exactly what to say to you to increase your good feelings. The good news is you do. You know exactly what you need and you can give it to yourself.

Today tell yourself some great things about yourself; maybe even say them in the mirror to your face if you are bold enough. Also take people off the hook today, give them a pass on what they should say to fit in your box. Just cut out the middleman and say exactly what you want them to say to yourself.

The benefits are increased energy since you are recycling energy that may normally be wasted with disappointment. You are kinder to others because they don’t have to jump through your hoops to connect with you. You will also become mentally stronger because you’ll have a voice of encouragement pushing you to greater accomplishments!

Thanks for reading

Can I earn a high hourly rate for great work without thinking about work when I am off the clock?

As a certificated teacher and retired CPA, with a master's degree, my jobs have always carried much responsibility. There are always hard decisions and tricky issues to deal with. It comes with the territory for me. This is because I'm a caring, ethical person with vast business and education experience. I usually see issues many people can't, or don't want, to see. I need to find a .part-time position where I can be rewarded somewhat for my skills and talents, and still clock out both mentally and physically.

Dropping the baggage.

Sometimes previous setbacks create a mental barrier to action. Although old in the physical world, since the failure is fresh on mind it can alter behavior. The solution? One option is to mindfully watch self talk. Be on the look out for statements that negate action. Things like "why even apply its a waste of time", the app is too long and I bet the pay is low".

Be courageous, this can only be done by taking massive action within the right mindset. All the action in the world with the wrong mindset gets you nowhere. Don't let thoughts of any kind stop action, you can move in faith and see results.
