I've served time in Guantanamo Bay as an Active Military then as a Civilian a few years later. The unaccompanied Housing is good as Civilian. The Mall is down the street, A local pub as well, new Soccer field, Ampithear is nice. There are Base Rules that apply. Know them well.

Quiet, Civilian or Military? They have a lot Banana Rats and Iguanas, snakes. Gotta be careful. Little small Military Base,Some spots you won't have access to because of Security concerns. I liked it, Lived there 5 years, I would go back, If I could.
