I would recommend someone to work at #IndianaDeptofChildServices because
Because Indiana DCS has their own "branch" of the government, they have a lot of pull with their funding ...that means letting go of employees without thinking twice about it. The cohort training was not quite unique to the individual offices throughout the state; unless they change, it is a great waste of the state of Indiana's money: Classroom training needed to focus strongly on Computer Applications (Magik unless they changed it already) used on a daily basis by case managers as they were not user-friendly to someone fresh to the agency. Classroom training should also have included automatically an in-Depth review of the judicial flowchart for the court system and a subsequent exposure to that EXACT court action or decision... instead of just being entitled Legal Roles and Responsibilities and a hit or miss learning platform. A social worker is a Hands-On person ... not a data entry operator ... Hence, the classroom training really should have been focused on data entry and court exposure so we can perform our social work job efficiently and wiser as change agents.
