How I started volunteering at #GirlScouts

When I was a girl I was in Girl Scouts during the Junior Scout years. After having daughters I found a troop for my oldest daughter and was her co-leader for her Brownie troop. When I had to go back to work I had to step down but soon realized that she was not happy without me. One of my sisters who had also been a Scout in her youth offered to help me. That year my youngest was starting kindergarten so we started a Daisy and a Junior troop. because of the age span of my girls each time my oldest bridged into the next level we would have 3 troops the next year until my youngest bridged into the middle troop. My oldest ended up graduating from Girl Scouts while my youngest chose to quit her Sophomore year in high school.

How I started volunteering at #GirlScouts

My little sister is a girl scout and there is a lack of volunteers and leaders in my county so my mom became a leader and I am now a volunteer.

Something I learned at #GirlScouts ...

Well I had no experience with Girl Scouts until my friend let her little girl go to a Scout camp. I wanted my little girl to be able to go also but could not afford to send her. So, I could let her go if I would volunteer to keep the other instructors boys as well as mine. So I watched the boys group and through enjoyed it.
