Journalism, communication field, marketing, public relations, etc.
I have been working as waitress for the last two years, but I really would like to find some opportunity to develop myself in the communication field as a journalist, public relations, marketing, publicity or some related job in this field. I have a bachelor degree . I really don't mind if I start doing an internship or freelance job. Thank you everyone for taking me in account.

Growing or shrinking? Changing the way we work? Experts weigh in on how freelance, gigging, and contract work will change in 2017.
Great article from Fast Company on the Gig Economy...
"The gig economy has been on the rise for several years, and many reports point to a continued trend in American workers taking on both side gigs and cobbling together a living from a hodgepodge of short-term work or longer-term contracted jobs.
Findings from Adobe revealed that as many as one-third of the 1,000 U.S. office workers they polled had a second job and more than half (56%) predicted we would all have multiple jobs in the future. The annual report from Upwork and the Freelancers Union found that more people than ever are choosing to freelance, up to 55 million this year, or 35% of the total U.S. workforce. As many as 81% of traditional workers they surveyed said they would "be willing to do additional work outside of [their] primary job if it was available and enabled [them] to make more money."

Check out this great article from Forbes that includes insights on full-time permanent employees working side-by-side with freelancers.
"In the past five years, the gig economy has become a major trend impacting the global workforce, and has created a new kind of diversity, with full-time permanent employees working side-by-side with freelancers. A study exploring the gig economy found that 93% of companies already identify the blended workforce as they’re seeing freelance workers teaming up with employees to work on projects together. In addition, the top reason why outperforming employers are benefiting from the blended workforce is “more flexible teaming”. "

Age Discrimination
Quite a lot of posts on this topic. What I don't understand about age discrimination is what do people think is going to happen as they get older? Will they be eternally 28-35 years old? In essence, people are discriminating against themselves. These young "wippersnappers" will one day face the same issues touted in the many posts on this site. And by that time, it will be too late for them to see what they failed to see when they were 30. It's really sad to think we throw away a vibrant, intelligent, skilled, trustworthy set of our population because they are "old". Like old is a bad word. It's not. I'm proud of my accomplishments and the fact that I have passed my genes onto a second and third generation.
I am a freelance graphic designer. I work from home - anonymously unseen. And that's the way I like it. Not my preference, of course. But it's how I get around (some) of the ageism out there.

I need Job expierence.
I'm a student traveling around Washington State. I haven't had a job before and I'm looking for one online as I continue to travel. I've spent about two months looking for one and still haven't found one that wasn't a scam. I know the basics of some coding languages and I do art commissions online. I'm fairly decent when it comes to communicating to other human beings, so if there's ANYTHING online I can work on please let me know. Finances are getting low and soon I won't be able to pay for car insurance or to eat. Thank you for your time. I wish you a good day.
