How to Get a Work-From-Home Job
I’ve seen a lot of posts in the community about finding a work-from-home job. That’s why I wanted to share a few tips on how to find one, so you can avoid running into any scams or dead-end job positions.
Use keywords like “remote” and “virtual”: If you’re performing a job search, avoid using “work from home” in your search. Instead, use words like “remote” and “virtual”. These are more common in legitimate job descriptions.
Check out company websites: A lot of companies are posting remote jobs right on their Career pages. For example, American Express has a lot of remote customer service work (https://jobs.americanexpress.com/virtual), and so does Apple (https://www.apple.com/jobs/us/aha.html).
Be cautious: A lot of scammers try to take advantage of the popularity of work-from-home jobs. If you’re asked for an interview via Google Hangouts and/or ask you for personal information (like your SSN or financial info), it’s likely a scam. Always report these to info@jobcase.com so we can help you determine if it’s a legitimate company.
Consider freelancing: I was a freelance copywriter for 8 years, and I loved it! If you’re a designer, writer, IT professional, website developer, etc., there’s a good chance you can work for yourself right out of your home. Try checking out sites like Guru.com and Upwork.com to see what’s out there.
Hope this helps - let me know if you guys have any questions!

Which sites have you used for freelancing?

Freelance Writer
I just started my job search not too long ago and I'm looking to make it professionally as a writer. I do not have a degree in writing, however I have taken multiple courses and I've written articles for about five years for an online publication. I have also done technical editing for a business friend of my mother's for his website.
I would like to put my services out there to see if anyone is interested. I have skills and knowledge, but haven't quite gotten them together yet to make it work for me, but if anyone is offering a paying gig I would be very happy to help out.

Finding freelance opportunities in Southwest Florida
I have been searching for contract graphic design work via the internet using such sites as GlassDoor, Career Builder, Jobrapido, Dice, Beyond, Jobcase, Simply Hired...to name a few! And, nothing has worked. I submit resumes, write cover letters...all very time consuming. Does any one have a cleaver solution to finding freelance work? I am not inclined to use such sites as Outsource which you pay to bid on projects and the average job pays less than $5/hour!

Graphic Designer
Hi! I am Evelyn, Graphic Designer. If anybody needs my service as a freelance. I will be happy to help you with your projects. Also looking for a full time position doing Graphic Design.

Paralegal Educator
After a decade plus as a Paralegal; I decided to try to change careers and become a teacher, however, it seems to be harder than I expected. I have a BA in English and have been working as a Substitute for several years, but the only offers I have been getting are contract positions without promise. Therefore, I decided to continue what I am good at writing and editing on a freelance basis. If anyone needs a virtual assistant legal or bankruptcy, social security etc... contact me here.
