It's important to volunteer @ #FoodServiceManager because...
For the past 27 years Ritch’s Raiders BBQ Team has entertained a group of very special children from various state schools and institutions in Houston and the surrounding areas at the Cook-Off. These special children are known as Ritch’s Little Raiders. Thanks to the support of our generous sponsors this event has grown each year and last year we hosted more than 600 children!
The morning is filled with great performances by singers, musicians, clowns, magicians and local celebrities such as Cactus Jack from 93Q. The children also have the opportunity to visit with some of Houston’s finest firefighters and law enforcement officers. The children are able to see the equipment and vehicles up close – even sitting in the helicopters and on the fire trucks! They dance and sing and end their visit with a wonderful lunch!
In addition to all the morning activities each child receives a special T-Shirt! The shirts have become quite the collectors item! Our team works with local schools to host an art contest encouraging each child to create a drawing, preferably with a rodeo theme, to submit for this contest. We then choose one very special drawing to be our theme at the cook-off and it appears on the T-shirts along with the artists name! What a proud moment for this child!

My advice to people interested in working at #albertsons as a #foodservicemanager ...
