What made me stay at #FashionInstituteofDesignMerchandising was
I started at FIDM in 2004. I was hired to help transition from film to digital photography because I have an expertise in digital imaging. I've stayed on because I enjoyed the job a great deal and loved the people who I worked with. There were always a number of challenges, both good and bad, as always in life and in any job. I got the opportunity to grow in the job as it evolved over the years, and have new experiences with a world I was new to (fashion). It was an amazing ride. Towards the end of my tenure there, I transitioned to a part time job which afforded me the time to stretch out in new directions personally, which was a true gift. My time with FIDM came to an end due to Covid-19, first with a furlough which eventually became part of a massive lay off due to downscaling in business. It was a great ride.
