Credit score versus job offer

I appreciate all the advice on rebuilding credit. But my question was in regards to my job search. Jobs turning me down directly because of my credit. It seems fairly discriminatory to continue to fault someone because there is no quick fix to improve a credit score.

Feed Back

Swift Transportation also declined my application. I called to see if they were willing to provide any feedback about what I can do to make myself a more acceptable candidate. I do hope they return the call.

About to give up! Please, any suggestions??

I am 47 years young! Highly entergetic and been told that I have a awesome personality! I can still do everything I did in high school except I am smarter now!! Lol. But when I apply for jobs they must look at my date of birth and throw my app in the trash. They must, because I can’t even get a waitress job! I have managed a mechanical business and a collision business. Did public relations and even was a hostess and waited tables. I have never been fired. I don’t understand why I can’t get a job. I am about to lose everything. Does anyone have any suggestions?? Thank you for allowing me to vent.

Need advise from this wonderful group

Hi. I was born in NY, raised in Venezuela. Became a Medical Doctor and General Surgeon.Relocated in the US 6 years ago due to uncivil rest of country.Became a Surgical Assistant in the US.. After 4 years at a Private Clinic, boss passes, management goes downhill, practically closed department of Surgery and I was out due to work force reduction. So I"ve been without a job for almost 5 months and nothing has come out. Thinking of reinventing myself.Do not know what to do. I've applied to 1000 things.Medical and no medical. Nothing. Any suggestions? Kind of getting desperate. Thank you JG

My Life with Aphasia

Having aphasia, can make it very difficult to complete the simplest of tasks in a timely manner. You've got one action or thought in your head, but when you try to put them into play, you often find that you're doing/saying the opposite of what you were going for. Has anyone else had experience with working with memory loss and-or aphasia? If so, how do you deal with it? And what are the best jobs for people with these deficits. Ive been fired from every one I've worked since the issues started.

Keep appying

I have been applying daily and only had one company reach out. Yet I get the notifications daily for the same job I already applied for. Is anymore as annoyed as I am? How is it no one responds ????

Out of work

I have seen many people posting about being out of work for extended periods of time. It is always easier to find a job when we have one and it gets tougher when we don't. Relying upon a job market where unemployment rates are at historic lows is also part of the problem. Companies can afford to be more picky in choosing candidates and they frustrate a large number of applicants. Getting piles of applications for an open position is the norm today. Most of them usually only get a cursory reading scanning for specific key words those that get calls are competing against more than one applicant. As a general rule, if a posting is older, chances are you won't get that job. I have nabbed contract jobs in less than a day in the past. Now, it just isn't clicking. Be prepared for a potentially long frustrating job search experience and keep a positive attitude. Negative vibes come across quickly, even in a phone interview. Good luck to all who are looking. We are venturing into a new and confusing job market.

It's been 1 year I was working with Max life Insurance Gurgaon, India on contract and now it’s been completed and I don’t have any opportunity in my hand. I am the only source of income for my family. Earlier I left my previous job, due to my father illness, he was hospitalized and struggling for his life, have spent lakhs of rupees and all my savings on him and for that I also have taken lots of loan from the market, but unfortunately, we could not be saved him and last year he passed away.

The salary which I was getting from Max Life was not sufficient, as I have to pay the liabilities, now I don't have enough money for my family to survive, I am the only source of income for my family, having two kids, both are studying and their school fees are already due and I cannot afford their studies as well as home expenses too. so please refer me any suitable career opportunities, we are surviving over credit cards that are also going to expire soon, due to non-payment of bills, pls help.

Thanks Rakesh Kumar
