Experience vs Degree
The hardest part of my job search has been finding a company that is willing to look at my years of manufacturing experience in lieu of a degree. My last 10 - 15 years with Worthington was in a Material Planning / Inventory Control role. Plus several years of Scheduling. But, I feel in most cases that my resume does not even reach the eyes of a hiring manager because it is getting kicked out of the system due to the lack of a degree.

Successful Entrepreneur Has Difficulty Finding Work
I had been self employed for over 25 years having owned and operated several successful businesses. I retired at a fairly early age in 2014 and have decided that I would like to work, but not for myself. I want to utilize my skills and experience working for someone else. I can't seem to land a position!! What's up with that??

Dont know how to satisfy Recruiter and Interviwer to get a job
I have been working in oil and gas industry as a Production Technician , Production Coach and Assessor , mostly worked with BP in Angola, Azerbaijan and Pakistan. BP made me redundant in August_2016 due to oil industry crisis. Since that i have applied more than 200 jobs but no success, hardly got three interviews but i think i did not able to satisfy interviewer. Even though my Trainees to whom i Trained and Coach are now working as lead production technicians/ Supervisors/ Engineers and Area Authorities. I Coached more than 100 Trainees in last 9 years. Now i can not understand how to satisfy the recruiter or interviewer to grab a job.
But one thing is sure i am not going to give up . Is any recruiter or hiring manager available to help me out in these difficult days !!!!

Looking for a job
I've been looking for a job for a very long time I have my resume on almost every job site. My resume gets Views, but I don't get an interview from anyon. This is so frustrating. I have a daughter who is graduating from high school in a couple of months. I just don't know what to do. Where to go please someone help. I am more than willing

When a prospective company treats you like sloppy 2nds
So, this is the email I got from the owner of a company to which I apparently applied:
"Thanks so much for your interest in [redacted] I know you applied to an opening we had several months ago, but the role was filled at the time you applied. We are continuing to grow our sales division and are very interested in your background. We would like an opportunity to interview you for our open National Healthcare Sales Account Executive role. Looking forward to hearing about your background and career goals."
My response:
"Thank you for your e-mail. However, I really don't see what has changed that I would be considered this time around. Good luck,in your search."
Am I disgruntled? Yes. Like many, I have been hitting a lot of dead-ends, despite my efforts to find a new position, only to have been told the I'm either not qualified, too qualified, I have too technical of a background or not "passionate" enough about the hiring company. All of this, despite the 8 hour minimum time I put into my job hunt on a weekly basis. So forgive me, but if you rejected me the 1st time, why would I waste another 2nd on you? Bye.

Frustrated
I’ve been unemployed going on 8 months now. Unemployment ended and now I feel like I’m stuck. I apply for jobs EVERY SINGLE DAY. Interviews here and there but I just feel like I’m the only person in the world going through this. Please some words of encouragement?

Industry experience and training vs. system experience
I'm just wondering if there are other IT professionals out there experiencing the same level of frustration as I am. As a telecom specialist, I've spent my entire career adapting to the latest technologies. I've replaced entire phone systems and then maintained and performed troubleshooting on the new system. Unfortunately, I stuck around at my last job ... one that didn't afford me the opportunity to learn and grow ... longer than I should have. When I got laid off, I immediately went to work studying for and acquiring Cisco certifications to bring my skills up to date. Still, I'm getting rejected at every turn because I can't claim to have much experience working on Cisco Call Manager. I know the product and I know I can do the job on day one but how do I convince hiring managers of that when most recruiters won't even submit my resume to them based on their predefined list of what they are asking for ? For someone that's learned and worked on as many different systems as I have, learning a new system is child's play, not rocket science. But how do I get those interview chances to try to convince a hiring manager that my industry experience shouldn't be discounted so quickly. After all, if there's any unchanging statement I can make after working 30+ years in the IT field, it's that the systems/technology a company has now will not be the same as what they will have five years from now. Given that fact, shouldn't someone with a proven track record of adapting to all of the latest technologies be equally considered to someone who's experience might be that they were taught one way of doing things on one specific system? How do I get the chance to impress this upon a hiring manager when I can't seem to convince recruiters that don't understand this to set me up with an interview ?

Desperate
I'm an 18 year old boy with a disabled aunt and soon grandma. She goes into surgery soon and I'm desperately looking for a job. Any work would do, my family needs to pay bills and we have no way of doing so. I'm just asking for a chance. I have so many life skills that are useful and beneficial to a work place but no one gives me a chance. That's all I'm asking for, is a chance

Not going to give up
I am pulling my hair stressing about a job I been Unemployment since the beginning of September I know I had put in at least 100 or more application and I had over 10 years in warehouse work but it seen like anyone looking over my application
