DON'T GIVE UP
Don't give up if you are looking for a job in the world of today. In 2011 I filled out 2,000 yes 2,000 applications and the only response was for sales. I was finally hired working for a company that worked with children with handicaps that will allow them to spit, kick and hit me at their will. I had to turn down the job because that factor of what was allowed for children to do to me without me counteracting.... UHHHHHH NO ...NO ONE WILL SPIT ON ME FOR NO SHAPE FORM OR FASHION I WAS THINKING. I continued my search and not giving up.

Over the judgmental employers
So tires of employers being so judgmental over background checks that's happened over to many years ago u no people do change for the better and want to work hard and do the best they can but they'd rather take someone who is not a dedicated individual that wants to show and prove there self and just make a living for there family and do the best they can so tired of it what happened to the older days where u went somewhere and was just given an opportunity to show ur work ethic and ur dedication

Impressive resume
I've been looking for a job gor the last three months. I always get yoh have a very impressive resume ask me to fill out applications, but when it comes to the race question I never hear back. Wondering what the hell if my resume impressed you my rave don't. They are finding any excuse, nect it going to be my credit which is getting screw because of no job. SCREAMING ENOUGH IS ENOUGH

Desperately looking for a full time job...need advice
I’ve been applying to jobs ranging from a Business Analyst to Warehouse worker. I was a Business Analyst for the last 17 years and moonlighted on the side as either a restaurant manager or bartender. I was laid off from my day job last June 2017. As many jobs as I’ve applied to, I rarely get phone calls or follow ups. What can I do? i have the experience and the education. The only thing I do not have is certifications like C+, Python, etc.
Any suggestions? Does it normally take this long to find a job?

Frustrated
I had two separate phone interviews, two separate in-person interviews and for the same company. Two weeks ago I was verbally given one of the two positions. Two days later the talent advisor called and said that the position was going to a temp agency. Today an email was sent to me stating that the verbal job offer was rescinded due to reference and background checks. I called and emailed back asking what exactly happened as I know for a fact my reference checks are immaculate. It can’t be my background check as I have no criminal record. I am a permanent resident and legal to work.
So far no response from the company. And very frustrated and getting depressed. Thankfully I have a loving husband that has income.

Bummed out
I just recently moved to the area about 2 months now. I am unable to get any help from temp agency's. Even the simplest of jobs are not calling..... I am on line Mon-Fri applying for jobs left and right. The ones that are qualifying me is stay at home jobs.... Need some advice....

Job searching and getting a job is rough
I have been looking for a job that I would like to work for but I told myself beggars can't be choosers.I been looking for 3 months even jobs I didn't want to work for and no one, nobody was calling me back so of course I called them all I got was a run around. So to companies that post job ads or wants take your bs down if your not hiring you wasting your time and mine. I was getting very negative till a job offered me a position but I prayed and i sure did cry a lot. No one cares if your single struggling behind in bills but let it be them in your shoes and see what they do. If they cry or pray or get mad and depressed karma does catch up to the pple who do bad and wrong even the pple who won't hirer some one because of there gender, race, sexual orientation, or language.

Discouraged
I just want to get employed someplace! Every place I got excited about was a huge disappointment! Somebody else got the position- it seems I'm always a day late! This is causing me to get a complex!

If they would take the time to interview me
The current job hunting system is a failure and needs to be revamped. The influx of resumes becomes an overwhelming experience for the company posting a job and an overwhelming process for the job finder.
If only the job lister had the time to find me and interview me, then I would stand a chance to get a job. Mere words on a piece of paper do not reveal my personality or my intelligence when applied to meeting and exceeding the objectives of the job position.

Please help!
For exactly a year since I got laid off, every day for 8 months I have applied atleast one per day, but I never any feed back from the companies (actually, only 3-5 interviews). All of my "laid off" co-workers has new jobs easily. Any advice?
