Postgraduate research 1993-1996. at UCSF all my Thesis for PhD the University of Cordoba, Argentina “A study of the integrin αvβ6 and its role in the mechanisms of signal transduction”. Investigating specific phosphoproteins, FAK kinase, paxllin, Map kinase,Pi3kinase cSRC in human colon carcinoma cell line SW480, through integrin–ligand binding. Techniques include cross-linking of the receptor β6. Western blotting. Native immunoprecipitation. Construction of αv αvβ6 chimeras for studies of the integrin αvβ6 GST-fusion assays. RNA protection assays, c-myc, c-fos, c-jun. Protein interaction. I have unpublished work that shows anchorange independent growth through tyrosine phosphoralition pathway using the point mutation β6 . Characterization of tyrosine phosphorylated proteins. Techniques include westerblotting immunoprecipition, gst-fusion proteins. Dept.of Histology, Embryology and Genetics, and the Centro de Biologia Celular y Desarrollo.

It is a school filled with caring adults and students. I have been here for 36 years and never regretted one time working here.
