How is everyone today?
I hope you all are at least trying to smile today. IT'S FRIDAY! Not that it means a great deal, but Friday has always made me happy. I today, I made my mind up to do something for myself... I applied for Social Security Disability for my arthritis.
I know, but the first time I applied, I was denied, and I thought, "Okay, nice try, what now?" No one told me that I could keep trying! No one told me that I could get a lawyer and fight! So, I'm back at it with a new attitude! From now on, I WILL FIGHT!

Interviewing tips.
I am 57 and a disabled veteran and have been on many interviews these last few months. Here are a few things I have learned from these interviews.
- Describe yourself in short and directed sentences.
- Smile but don’t laugh.
- Do not look not into interviewers eyes.
- Keep to your resume.
- Interviewsers want to keep it short. Just like your resume.
- Most important, listen to them.
- Pause before answering. Gives you chance to absorb the questions and think of what you want to say. If there are two or more interviewing you keep these tips in mind when answering each interviewer. Good luck.

Patience
Hi, my name is Jessica-prefer Jessie. It been rollercoaster for me since June, move to Florida from Texas. I moved due to continue medical school where I graduated in Clearwater and new life. I couldn't see myself grow root in Texas. In Florida, since June and today, I got really worries and sick to my stomach where I have went to 17 interview. I really thought that is it, because I'm hearing impaired and speech impairment? I felt hopeless, because that what happen to me in Texas as discriminated. I was about to lose my relationship and my dream to stay in Florida. Almost all my life I have been discriminated, even been foster child of rough childhood, but that doesn't stop me for who I am today. I went from job to job as temporary but it can get depressing time to time pay rate so low compare to Texas is high. My fiance think I was unhappy here, but it not true, I'm only unhappy is I can't support my little family where I can't find a job as career for me. It been 6 month struggle where I couldn't help pay rent with my fiance where doing all by itself and I felt so bad. I know my fiance know I am trying and been patience with me was not easy. I was working seasonal JcPenny for temporary associate and appointment with agency to help me find a job, but didn't get it today. But as today when I got home, I had a voicemail say I got offer position at Florida medical clinic will start in two week! I was so tears and believe that God is testing my patience and I pass my patience exam. My whole point here is....Don't stop searching, keep looking and apply as much as possible. It will come in time after 2 or 3 month waiting. Be honest of who you are and confident. Don't be afraid if you have hearing impaired or any disabilities, because it will show them how honest person you are. It main key they are looking for is honest, and confident and sell yourself. I am only 30, but if you are older, don't let it stop you. Believing yourself will get you there. We all come along way and some how we all deserve to have a good fit and stable job to support your need. I hope y'all have beautiful day. Don't give up

Mental illness and job searching
Bipolar Type I. I’ve been an Uber driver for the past year and a half after leaving a GS-07 job at the IRS. Though the benefits were excellent, it was still dull and repetitive work in a very impersonal environment. After 12 years, I had a nervous breakdown.
I’m trying for another white collar job, I have a BS in Finance, but I don’t really know if it’s a wise thing to do, but I need the steady income again. Driving barflys home after late nights of bar crawling is starting to lose its luster.
I’m curious to know if anyone else has a similar situation

Education
I’ve been a music teacher for 25 years and 6 of it college students.? I’ve had 7 years experience working with people with disabilities. I’m looking for a career in education but not necessarily in the classroom.
