The Market
I am an unemployed disabled worker and D.A.V.I hear people say why am I not getting any Bites on my Resume or hits. This is where you have to check the area your in as far as WHO the market is in favor of.Is it a workers Market or an Employers Market?I have worked in a lot of cities more often than not it is an Employers market where the the Businesses were in control because the was such a large pool of unemployed people they could pick and can choose from without fear even for high turnover. Most of the jobs in the area are minimum wage which really does not help furthering the Dominance of the Employers control and ability to pick and choose who they need for the jobs available.Raising the minimum wage did not help much at all,in fact many think it hurt the market more than helped.Such a sad waste of outstanding talent and service is lost due to this type of setting.

Dilema
I have been unemployed since April of 2017 due to health reasons I had to go on Social Security Disability I feel so out of place since this happened sometimes I feel I want to disconnect but by the grace of God I have not. I really would like to find a job to work from home but so far have not found anything I can do. I just recently last August 2018 graduated from college with an associate's degree . Any suggestions or thoughts on this I would appreciate some input .Thank You

I am Cynthia Droddy born 8-7-1957. I live In a very small.town in TEXAS. I have been asked if I live in Louisiana and in another state as well. My only state of residence has ALWAYS been TEXAS. I want to work at my home in some tye of part time at My own pace...maybe like folding and stuffing envelopes or taking Legitimate surveys where you actually make $$ doing them or giving my opinion on things that are actually of interest to people. I am not looking to make $1000 a week or a month.... I just want to make some extra money to make some changes in my bathroom. I need a shower for a Disabled person and the one I have is definitely not made the right way.

Shaane
I'm very new to the job market, and things have really changed since I was gone. You see, I've been disabled for over 10 years while dealing with some very serious medical issues. I've finally stabilized, and want to get back to work. I'm only 45 and I just can't sit around on disability...I have a brain and want to use it! I have a BS in Geology, and am a US Navy veteran. The bulk of my experience outside the Nacy was in construction, and it is not physically feasible for me to return to construction. However, I owned my own construction companies, managed many employees and teams, have done professional writing and editing, and have a lot of general business knowledge. Anyone have any ideas about paths to take or companies that can help mentor me back into the job world? Thank you

Another Job chaser
I feel what you are saying. I am 58 years old and on a disability pension when I should actually be retiring with a decent pension plan. This is not my case and I need to work to supplement my small pension. I have applied for over 100 jobs in the past 2 weeks. The only one it seems that I have NOT applied for is cleaning out stalls.

What is the best way for a very able senior citizen to find a good job in Toledo, Ohio?
We are a senior couple who lost our pension through bankruptcy of my husband's employer. Need extra income to supplement our Social Security checks. Husband functionally deaf. No money for hearing aids. I have experience in outside sales, customer service and medical terminology.
