Should I disclose my disability on appilacation

I've had Parkinson Disease for about 2 and half years. People can tell that I have PD except when they see my hands shaking from time to time, but mostly when I to do any hand writing which is getting worse. So when I fill out an application the question is " do I have a disability?" do I mark "Yes" or "No". I feel that if I mark yes, I will have no chance at getting a job. Anyone else have this problem?

Lost my leg, can I still do this?

I had an accident at home about two years ago and my left leg was amputated. I healed just fine and I’m doing good now but I want to get back into trucking. Can I do it since I am missing a leg? Anyone know how I can do this? Thank you!

Where can I find A good job?

I came off active duty for the Navy in Sept. 2017 I was supposed to be brought back to my old job but they told me it was gone. I am no longer employed there. I have a B.S. in ORG. Management. I have over 10 yrs sales experience I was a tradesman, a foreman, a supervisor, and list goes on. I have held short term jobs since then painting a handyman stuff. I have applied to over 1300 jobs on line. I have only had two careers my whole life so I am being told I am over qualified or not recommended for job. I am a disabled veteran status but can work doing almost any job. I was told I have preference for jobs but I am not seeing. Being a supervisor I have been thorough in my endeavor but I am not getting results. Does anyone or company out there need a go to guy for a job?

Feeling very let down

I got excited about something called ticket to work for disabled people and seniors. I applied for it and later went to a potluck lunch with someone and the higher-ups asked me to fill out an application so I could be part of their team. It involves driving and in the past I hadn't paid much attention to a driving score. Doing the last four or five years I lost my dad and my husband and during those times I received tickets during each occasion. I was discussing the funeral both times with someone in my car and was ticketed for speeding. It would my score down too low for the job. I wanted the job so bad that I took an online driving course and raise my score greatly. I bestowed to get a CDL learner's permit and the ticket to work program said they can offer classes so I can get my CDL. I was placed on a waiting list a few months ago just to get a letter that states they really cannot help me because of the funds and that program. What is the use a building people up to finally get back into the workforce and get a life just to sit you on a shelf until they can come up with a letter of disappointment. I truly was hoping to get something before these kids get out of school and take up all the jobs during the summer. I was so excited now to be so disappointed.. I can't even get the cdl learner's because you can only hold it three months and you have to go for your regular license. I am wanting to drive a bus but I must take a bus to get the correct endorsement. They offer classes but you have to pay for those and you need a job to pay for those. Had I gotten the job with the other company that seem to want my assistance they would have had the vehicles to help me get that CDL and I would have committed myself to working for them. To get excited and get slammed down it's like walking into a brick wall I guess..

International Day of Persons with Disabilities

Today is the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, designated by the United Nations as a day for promoting the rights of disabled people worldwide. More specifically:

“It aims to promote the rights and well-being of persons with disabilities in all spheres of society and development, and to increase awareness of the situation of persons with disabilities in every aspect of political, social, economic and cultural life.”

One of the most important areas in which we can all make progress for the benefit of disabled people and society as a whole is in the workplace. Although one in every five people worldwide has a disability, discrimination is rife. Here are a few statistics are taken from this shocking compilation:

The poverty rate for people with disabilities is 47%. The employment rate for disabled people of working age is just 35%, compared with 78% for non-disabled people.

About one in four people with a disability will face at least one incident of discrimination every day. 38% of people believe that someone with a disability is a burden on society.

So, what can you do to promote the rights and well-being of persons with disabilities?
