Well, FINALLY I 'got a job' TOO . . .

Well, in the Spirit of a smattering of other posts . . . I TOO 'got a job' . . . after 35 years as a graphic designer, and a HARD fought, HARD opportunity chased career, finally reaching an echelon of 'Sr.' Graphic Designer, based on acumen, skill set and experience . . . and, after my last job ended with a company sale and dismantling in 2016, and nearly $3K spent in fees and postage sending out portfolio packs, and just under 350 applications sent, over 35% of which were for ANY job, from garbage man to mass market retailer stocker to janitorial to . . . whatever 'might' even consider me . . . I 'start' a job on Monday, tomorrow, at a major retailer . . . at 22 hours a week, $8 an hour, . . . . 'after taxes', roughly $160 a week . . . (as I told my stepdaughter, in 1979, I worked at a little country grocery store, 17 years of age, Jr. in HS, evenings and half Saturday, . . . and made THEN $180 a week) . . . .and even with this 'opportunity', the vehicle I have is gonna 'drink' about 45% of THAT per week, to get TO it to make . . . . and STILL, the woman I came here to RESCUE, she and her daughter, 3 years ago, assuring her I'd 'surely find professional employment' HERE, as much as the area has grown, etc. . . . is going to STILL have to apply for EBT the first of the month . . . I've NEVER been on state subsistence in my life, of ANY kind, and now, I've a family, and THIS is what I could come up with . . . so 'Yeah!' . . . '19 is shaping up yeah?!

Got a full time freelance job!

So after 13 months of unemployment and applying to over 2000 applications, I finally got myself a freelance job at a publishing agency so I will be designing book covers for authors! The best part is, it’s a remote job so I can work at home!

In addition, I may get hired from a full time on site designer job next week as my first interview went well and now I have to see the owner.

God does wonders! I returned to Jesus in January of this year and after praying and crying, he has heard my prayer. Never give up everyone! Turn to God and he will help you!

Have a great day!

Searching for a remote Instructional Design position

Good morning! Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I am an educator looking to get into the field of Instructional Design. I have 18 years of professional experience in various areas. Currently, I am a Special Needs teacher. I will be graduating with my Masters in Higher Education in December 2019. I am the Director of Community service in an organization that I hold membership and I have nursing school experience.

I also need affordable, reputable companies or individuals to help rewrite my resume. My resume does not give a complete picture of how my previous experience relates to instructional design.
