
No win situation
My job as a CSR was 25-32 hrs a week after I lost a better paying full time job. It is a hostile work environment and has been since I started 8 mos ago, but paid just enough to pay my rent. Two mos ago with an Assistant Mgr becoming Mgr my hours were cut in half. No warning, nothing. I m verbally abused by Mgr and District Mgr. Called HR and they said it was my problem. I do what I'm told then get written up for doing what I was told! I have now been evicted and have 2 weeks to get 40 yrs of my life into a few boxes, and yes I gave notice of resignation which she was all to happy to take. My question is why? I have a long work record all favorable. Is it because I'm 60 and a widow or because I speak up or am I the wrong color(white in this case) or??? I don't understand how they, a Fortune 500 company can get away with this.
