Please visit my blog, HR by Nnamtique, at https://nnamtique.com, to see my latest post. It is so important that employers have a conflict resolution program available to employees and managers. Even if it is not formal, there needs to be a trusted, trained individual on staff who can keep employee concerns from spiraling out of control because they are not addressed. #peacefulworkplace #conflictresolution #getalong #mediation #resolution Career Search Success to You All! So I am going to.quit my job tomorrow before I get fired. I have made a few mistakes such as billing customers without correct paperwork for rentals and now they are not going to pay. I am currently seeing a therapist for low self esteem and conflict avoidance. Problem is my boss of 20 years scares me to death. Talking to him is always hard thus the conflict avoidance problem. I am already a applying for other jobs and have many contacts that will be able to help me but jyst need some advice on how to quit. His track record has always been once you quit no two weeks get out now which I am ok with. Just need help on the initial need to talk to.you. Drafted email but that seems cowardly. What do you think?please don't tell me to stay there it's not worth what it is doing to me mentally. My adult children have noticed the difference and I want to be the person I used to be. Can't take the stress. Need a job where when you leave it's over until the next day and don't have to bring it home with you.

First thing YOU must do is SPELL consulting correctly. A dive ops consultant represents an oil company, offshore oil and gas. That is what I do. My oil co. hired a lay/derrick barge (about 100 men) which I am in charge of, to pick up abandon pipeline. Under my pipeline was a bigger pipeline, in service, "HOT" gas line owned by another oil company who also had a consultant on board. The barge captain and this other consultant had a big argument about how the work was to progress.....which was really my business. They were close to a physical fist fight so I stepped in and stated how the work was to be done. That stopped a fist fight. I then spoke privately to each man, resolved conflict through "forgiveness concept", each party agreed to work together to safely complete the job. Weather had a part in this as it was a heavy seaway and made work conditions dangerous leading to frustrations each man felt. Captain Paul L. Tobin

I’m 19 (20 in 22 days) and I currently work at DD full time (sometimes 7 days/ week) while going to school to become a veterinary technician. I understand that when working in food service you will inevitably deal with rude and sometimes self entitled customers at some point. Well, today was one of those days when I got to work at 6am and it was rush time. I had an order for two small hot lattes. I made the lattes and they went out the drive thru window only to have one returned back through the window. I was told it was supposed to be iced (keep in mind it was rung up as a HOT latte). I then remade it as an iced and went to hand it out the window myself. The woman looked at it with a disgusted look and said “what is this?!” and I replied “it’s a latte like you ordered” she then replied (with a VERY rude attitude) “I wanted a macchiato” I then replied “it was rung up as a latte so I’ll have to give you a refund and charge you for the macchiato” (which costs more than a latte) her reply was “that’s NOT my problem. Go remake it NOW” (once again, she was very rude and had a self entitled attitude). I paused for a minute contemplating if I should say something rude back to her, but I had enough self control not to and closed the window then went to remake the drink AGAIN. I will also add that she DID order two hot lattes and she was also rude from the very beginning. Some people can’t be pleased...
