Urgently looking for additional work

It seems that no one is looking to hire me for part-time work. I have applications in seemingly everywhere. I have a large family and a medically disabled spouse and really need the extra income. I am willing to do anything. The way I look at it, my time is worth nothing if I am sitting at home so it might as well be worth something to someone else. Anyone willing to take a chance on me?

Not Sure

I have a job offer .That seems to pay ok. But is not enough to pay my bills. The job does not pay Health insurance either.I have been laid off a few weeks. Not many choices out there. I am a skilled tradesman .

Inbound or outbound sales

I really enjoy this type of work. I work hard and am a loyal employee. I would just like a job closer to home. Am willing to negotiate on salary depending on how good the commission rates are and how much closer to home the drive would be.

WORK FROM HOME SCAM!!!

I applied for a job for a company called VF Corporations. I get text updates to check my application statuses, and I got an updated saying that a recruiter viewed my application. A couple hours later I got an email from someone named Laura Bhadrakuma. She addressed herself as the hiring manager from VF Corporation and proceeded to tell me about the corporation. She then told me that the job I applied for was already given to another candidate, but shs had a work from home job opportunity that she wanted to give to me. $580 a week, plus benefits. She also stated that she wanted to give me a formal interview, but she was out of town on business so it would have to wait, but in the meantime there were things she could give me to do to start working and if I wanted the job to reply back to the email proving my address and name. Then I did my homework. I looked up Laura Bhadrakuma and didn't find anything. Then I went to the VF Corporation site and she wasn't in the employee directory. Then I dissected her email fully and realized there were many grammatical mistakes. By this point, I knew it was a scam. But I'm trying to get more information as I can to report this further, so I'm letting them continue. I replied back to the email saying I want the job. Then I got another email saying that my first "task" was to buy items on a list for a "foster home" that they work with and that a check would be mailed to me for the cost of the items and for my weekly pay. The email advised me to deposit the check as soon as I get it and to email them back with a picture of the desposit receipt from my bank. I am not going to deposit this check because it's obviously going to bounce. I'm keeping it to use it as proof of a scam. Please watch out for scams like these!!!!

One income Households???????

So I live in Atlanta and Im beginning to notice a trend. It seems like EVERYONE has a roommate. Everyone that I ask about it says that there is no way that they could possibly survive off just their income here. I love Atlanta and have been here since 2000, but boy has it changed.... A LOT!!! I used to be able to find a job in 2-3 days, but Ive been looking for a job now for like 2 years. Not to mention the fact that NOBODY hires you permanently anymore. Ive seen one and two year contract/assignments,, but not much permanent. I guess thats the wave of the future huh??? Ive also lived in the same area for almost 20 yrs, and the rent went from $600 a month to now $1400 a month.... FOR THE SAME DAMN APARTMENT!!! THEY DIDN'T EVEN RENOVATE THEM. The county I live in has great public schools, which as a mother is my biggest and main priority. My children love their schools and they are excelling. My oldest is in her junior year at LSU and I know her attending a GREAT high school had a lot to do with it. So I know its worth the sacrifice. However, the Cost of living keeps rising but the pay isn't. I've been working two jobs since my divorce just to take care of me and my kids. Hell, I almost want a roommate myself, but cant do it because of my kids. I just don't get it. All of the agencies want to pay me less than I currently make and there's nooooooooooo way I can survive on LESS! Im just at my wits end!!! Thx for letting me vent. I just dont know WHAT else to do.

Salary Range........ I realize one of the most difficult areas to navigate when job hunting is the salary offer and acceptance. Still, I noticed many companies do not list this in their job vacancy postings and many a time you drive long distances and or go through interviews only to hear that the salary offer is at a wage below your expectations. I also understand employers like to have some flexibility in that area too. Just wanted to ask if I am being unreasonable to expect employers to post their salary ranges in all ads for a specific job so that a job seeker can decide whether it is a suitable wage before he applies, or travels long distances to an interview?
