Confused

This morning I went to a job fair after getting a phone call from a recruiter to go attend the job fair which stated on the job post $13hr forklift position starting which I sent a resume an applied for an when getting to the job fair the recruiter' s there representing the same company.those recruiters at the job fair told me a whole different pay scale an position from which I was there for even after telling them at the door who sent me an what position I was there for they tell me I have to work production before going to forklift which the pay is $8hr I never heard of such in my work career I didn't even know companies still pay so low these days I never made single digits I felt so insulted very confuse of how could companies lead people on and waste there time with false accusations

Can I get paid more without a diploma

I'm literally the only person at my office who doesn't have a BA or higher. Since I work with the payroll I know that I get paid way less than everyone else even people who work less than I do. Is it okay to ask about a raise because of this. I'm a good employee.

Is this a trick or treat?

Recruiter phoned me just today, scheduling a next day job interview. Salary starting @ 40,000-60,000. Job description is to explain & assist healthcare/insurance application to employees. Question asked: Do I have a car? Recruiter told me to dress formal, bring 2 references' name & #, my resume & expect to be in interview for 2 hours and it will be intense. I was thrilled. . . .until recollectin'my memory of last summer . I had 1 crappy experience with SAME Insurance agency. Recruiter did not mention I'd be in a session with 20 additional job seekers listening to some guy standing before us all as he make his looong, drawn out presentation about how to earn soooo much money and make it to the top! He chats and demonstr8 using slide show. Someone's cell ph may vibrate and he scolds them. No one is dressed in formal attire. "Interview" goes beyond 2 hours. No refreshments. No h2o. The speaker stated "Ask NO Questions until after the entire presention. HE TALK, TALK, TALK. He makes a plain statement that everyone will not get the job. I stood up to excuse myself from the group and he went off. I stated 'I was headed to the restrm'. (....and will not be back. WHAT A WAIST OF TIME, GAS & CASH y'kno I'm starving by now!) I don't think I was employed at that time and I am certainly not losing money on that joke of a job. I would have to drive my vehicle to various county residences who are employed. Not my forte.

Quick cash is yours - deliver flowers next week for Vslentine's Day - call your local florists!

If you need extra money while you are diligently trying to find employment (the endless resume submissions to companies that you rarely get a reply from - I am an avid reader of JOBCASE stories.) My older brother and I both have done this for 3 years in a row. Florists need extra drivers on Valentine's Day. We've worked delivering in a large city, and this year in a much smaller community. The set up is different on how much they pay, or if you drive a company vehicle or your own - some will pay for your gasoline - it's a fun way to earn some money - the flowers, chocolates, wine, and small gifts make you smile, and delivering to hospitals, businesses, schools, churches, and residents is a very positive experience - especially when we all feel rather discouraged and unsure because we are fighters trying hard to get a solid job. You will feel good when you get home from this job, and you will have money in your pocket too. I worked in an office for executives for decades - if I can do it - YOU can do it. (And if anything - you get to see your community on a more personal level - and see people actually smile...how often does that happen on average? )

How can I better myself financially?

I'm taking care of my mother and my girlfriend as well as her 7 year old I am striving to better myself financially . I'm currently working at pizza hut at 2337 N Chester Ave. The area is considered a poor area and being a driver there is hard. Hardly anybody tips me and there's crazy people all over. I am barely able to afford gas to replace what I used after working a shift and I really want to get out of that area.

HELP!!!!!!!!

I lost my job in the oil industry back in 2015. I went almost a year before I landed an opportunity to help out a company by coming to work for them while I am able to find a job. I fell in love with my job but they don’t want to budge with the salary, which is awful by the way, nor provide me with benefits. Keep in mind, I am a single mother with 2 kids who borrows money for rent every month. I have been looking like crazy, online, networking and working with recruiters. Why does it seem so hard to get a job these days? I feel like I am doing everything I should be doing. I have talked to several people regarding my resume which they say is great! I am not scared to talk to people. Is there any advice you can give that may help improve my efforts?
