HR PERSON NEEDED for law interpetation

Husband works more than 40 hours a week, hired as salaried, but the salary was lowered greatly about 3 weeks into the new position.

Hours worked per week at a retail store now equates to just $9.07 per hour...minimum wage in my state is $10.10 per hour

I can't figure out of overtime even as an exempt employee would actually be required at this point ...the DOL sights both fed and state are not very helpful in this matter...any suggestions?

Got fooled

I applied and was hired after 4 long hours and 50 mile one way drive with little gas to a job at the airport that sounded great.. so I went was hired on the spot told I'd b contacted to get finger printed. I asked a dozen times what the pay/ benefits etc were.. not once did I get a firm answer until I wasted more time and gas for fingerprints that they finally told me! Passenger assist job at DFW International airport for $6 per hour!!! That won't buy gas!!! So disappointed!!! Be careful!

Don’t Mislead Me?

A job I was expecting to start in 2 weeks has now been delayed until May. I already handed in my resignation letter at work the same day I signed and mailed the offer letter for the new job. I’m basically screwed out of earning income for the next 3 months. I never heard of this happening to anyone before and I’m afraid the new job is a scam. What am I supposed to do now?

Too much paperwork

My job requires working out of the office with very little time at my desk. I find it difficult to do my required paperwork and therefore end up working 2 extra hours unpaid. My boss refuses to pay for my overtime. I don't agree that I should be working if I'm not being paid! But my boss wont budge....

Do NOT ACCEPT WORK FROM DPRECRUITONG

Every Christa's and July 4th this company provides "Roadshow" merchandise to Sam's Clubs. I have made the mistake of accepting their offering of work 3 times over the past year and a half and have NEVER BEEN PAID AS PROMISED. they always come.e up with some excuse at the end of the Roadshow as to why I'm not being paid the full amount... You didn't complete all your visits as scheduled. You didn't turn on paperwork or pics. You didn't respond to an email with additional instructions......Funny though that my AOL address hasn't changed and I am getting your emails now! If I knew how to report them for non payment I sure would do it. Take my advice and do not accept I depend don't contractor work from the unless you like to work and not be paid Kimberly Ballard Bristol VA

Part-time job interview

Evening. I had an offer to interview for a community outreach position that is 1-5p M-F. The job is 16 miles 1 way from my home. I declined the interview because I have some health issues I need to get better with first. I did say I appreciated the chance to interview. and how i want to be on my top health wise before interviewing. I do not like telling people i have PTSD being a veteran. So i was cordial and thankful for the email reply. It's the fastest response i have had so far. I am also weighing the drive time and at $10 p/hour I am not sure if the position equals out to benefit me. The pay is based only on grant funding, so I am confused.. Any ideas or suggestions?
