I would tell my past self that working at #CommandCenter is

If I had known working harder and smarter than the men on my crew was going to lead to me being without a job through the Command Center, I would of worked harder to go to the Administration of job placement to change the outcome of me being fired for being female. The Command Center was a great first place to make fast cash when first moving to the area. I got hooked up working at the Arena and Convention Center downtown Spokane, WA. However the head of operations at the work site, Shardel is a people especially woman hater. I was posed as a threat cuz I worked hard and everyone loved my work ethic and everyone knew I outworked the men. After hours were shut down to almost nothing for all of us, I went outside the Command Center to get a second job before losing my place to live, Shardel decided to get rid of me, I always showed up for my shifts, did not waste time like the men, and could be counted on to finish my job, why was I let go then. Also the Command Center seriously led me on by purposely placing me there knowing sending any female was a threat to Shardel, and no real opportunity for me no matter how well I worked. If I was male I would of been promoted to management, but I am female and do not count. I feel the Command Center didn't care about outing me in a hostile work environment and being discriminated against by the only female in charge, what the Command Center did care about was making money off of anyone stupid enough to go and think it's an opportunity for employment. There are men who have transmissible diseases, show up to work drunk or drug out, almost everyone has a felony, but me, Shardel was able to mean mug me, cuss at us, yet talked wonderful with my husband, and not commend me on any of my work like a cold person without true management skills just cut throats people so she don't lose her job. Yet I can't have the luxury of working there because I am female.
