I am a professional Caretaker with 13 yrs experience. I have 20+ yrs experience as a Carpenter before transitioning to Caretaking. I just turned 64 yrs old and am collecting social security. I am in great health and anticipate being able to continue working for many years to come. I prefer a part time position at 20k max.

I recently moved from Florida to California due to deaths of both my husband and Mom. I am finding it very strange that in order to become a caretaker for older people (been one for 10 yrs with no pay), that one must have a license for that and pay for it themselves, and also a TB test If I had the money for this, I wouldn't need a job. I also applied for a babysitting job and found out I must be trained in CPR, as well as pay for my own background check, as well as another type of check. Why are there so many obstacles to obtaining a simple job in this state? Don't get me wrong, it is beautiful here, and I love it, but if I don't get a job soon I'll have to leave and I don't want to be forced to do that because I love this beautiful state.

It's not open any more but I would say it was a very good job and they will work with you on hours .. The clients are all really nice and easy to work with as long as u go by protocol u will love this job..

My boss not reporting incidence right away.. And I was upset about it..
