Always Called for Interviews for a Job Not that familiar with
Hi, I just want to ask,the previous company I was working with laid me off because of problems with mechanical equipments/ plant machinery. I am an IT guy and was employed as a Data Clerk in the Engineering department at a mining company. I wasn't that familiar with engineering jobs but adapted so fast that I was even the maintenance system officer. Though I was an IT guy, I was almost exposed to engineering jobs than IT. Now the problem is that ever since I started applying for employment, I haven't yet been called for and I T related jobs but only ones that are in other fields, eg stores assistant, stores supervisor, administrative assistant etc, the jobs that I rarely know what's involved, could it be that my CV is not that good, or what, I have applied for about 10 IT jobs and not called any but these others been called for interviews about 4 times, please assist

Discouraged
I have been looking for work for 3 months. I am so frustrated and feel very discouraged. I was supposed to hear today about whether or not I got a job with a very wonderful company. I know the day is not over but I still haven’t received a call. I’m scared. I have to find something. I’m a single mom and I have zero help from his father. I do everything on my own. I feel down and low today. Any advice? I feel so alone

How to pivot?
I'm looking to pivot from a supply chain focused position into a more technical data driven role. What would be the best path for me to achieve this?

Connections Academy/Pearson
What a great company. I've been following and trying to get into this company since 2014 (says their applicant tracking system)! I've finally got some relevant experience, and many lessons learned since then, and I'm hoping for a call back! Their company culture seems right up my alley, and it's in the education (my M.A.s in Secondary Education) field. I'm super excited. I'm trying not to get too over-confident, but I'm so excited to have finally made it this far in their hiring process.
Any thoughts/tips on how to manage "over-confidence"? I'm trying not to count my chickens before they hatch with this position. I don't want to be completely devastated if I don't get it. And in the event that I don't get the job, I don't want to have stopped hunting for other jobs. This sounds like my ideal position and I want it!

Going on 4 months no job
I have had multiple interviews with multiple companies. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong but I'm not getting called back. I'm 56, a previous small business owner/general manager, have been in customer service for over 25 years. Therefore, I have many skills. I have an outgoing personality and get along with just about everyone. Depressed and trying to find the right answer.

Time for a new start.....
I start real estate school june 18. I cannot wait to start a career finally. Anyone have experience in the real estate field? Any tips for newbies?

Experience
How does someone who's a graduate with a credential get the experience that's required now? It's like the degrees and credentials are worthless.
