The biggest mistake I made as a #Shiftmanager at #BurgerKing ...
It wasn't at burger king but I was working the line cause the drive thru was getting hammered and my line cook wasn't performing as well due to not feeling well and had to be sent home and us not having anyone to come in to cover him, I had to work the line, so I couldn't see the whole store like I needed too, 2 guys rushed In and made everyone lay down on the ground and demanded I open the safe, which had nothing in it cause i had already made to bank run, and the only thing in there was the change for the day, needles to say they wasn't hearing it and started kicking on some of my crew cause the time lock wouldn't open right away they wasnt understanding it opens at a reasonable amount of time, my crew and I were all afraid for our lives cause we had no idea what would happen once the safe opened and they saw it was nothing but change, I told them over and over there was no money in the safe, they wasn't hearing it, once it opened we could do nothing but pray, they took all the draws and change before they left, my mistake was my wife who was pregnant at the time was working there, that wasn't the first time something like that had happened but I thought it would never happen again because we had just gotten a new system that was supposed to be watching us daily to keep us safe, I put my unborn child and wife in danger because she wanted to work and new she was a good worker so I asked my boss to hire her because people was afraid to work that store cause that kinda stuff happened a lot, the crazy thing was when the robbers drove away we was running out the store for help cause we saw a cop car at the light, the robbers turned right in front of the cops and they both drove off, they did not stop or even notice us flagging them down, my wife never returned to work after that and ordered me to find another job cause she feared for my life daily after that and would have nightmares because of it and became extra protective of me which lead to our divorce because it became too much

A #stressful #BurgerKing day
I dont get stressed out over work, but I did get really sick one time because the night crew didnt change the grease like they was supposed to and with me having asthma I couldn't breathe and my chest was burning really bad but we got it changed and the air became better I still had time go home and to the hospital because I had started having an attack because it had gotten too bad the grease was dark black I only worked the weekends if I had been there earlier it wouldn't had never gotten that bad

Drama at #BurgerKing
I've been in management for over 13years so I'm very good at defusing a problem, the problem wasn't with me but the order taker it was a misunderstanding in placing the order at the order board, instead of talking normal to the guest and listening to her she was cutting off by the crewmate which made her very angry, long story short I intervened because I heard her order and simply repeated her correctly with a smile in my voice and kind words, I was a manager at that location but knew how to handle the situation effectively before it got out of hand

The things that would have improved my job @ #BurgerKing are
Better pay raise

What I loved working at #BurgerKing
The coworkers that I have the pleasure of knowing. I’m one of the oldest there and they don’t give any special treatment about it and I like that. I actually enjoy going to work everyday and part of the reason for that is, I have a mgr I love working with and I haven’t said that in a very long time.

I made working for #BurgerKing a good experience by
Bad. Managers don't act like managers

The best benefit at #BurgerKing was definitely...
Only best experience with Burger King. I could get free food. Other than that. I was literally doing all work with hardly any team work.

It was awsome!!!

There when I needed them
I worked at Burger King for a year and that job came at the right time. My store really helped work around my school schedule. I think working in fast food gets a bad rap. It's like people look down on you, but at the end of the day I made money when I needed it. There is no shame in working at Burger King.

The team. We all worked awesome together during our rushes. We are a tight unit the cares very much about one another. Couldn't ask for a better experience in this company and Jeana our manager is a great loving boss who cares very much for all her employees
