Assessment test

Why is the assessment test so hard to pass and if you passed the assessment test does that mean you're automatically hired

Finally!

I finally received a rejection letter for sales and service retail job I applied for last month. Not exactly the response I was hoping for but nevertheless a response! I think I might have messed up on the assessment but I have no way of knowing since the test didn't give me a pass or fail grade. The letter just said they decided to go in another direction. How can I find out if that's the reason I didn't get the job?

Posting for Sales associate, pace, FL

I'm extremely confused by a 24 hour time frame given to me to complete a questionnaire? I am extremely interested in this position and this company. With my extensive background in Telecommunications I would think it could be a win-win situation for myself and Verizon. I was sent a "FINAL NOTICE" email at 10.00pm on October 21, 2016, a Friday evening. I did not read this email until 11:30pm on October 22,2016 nor did I receive any prior emails to the final notice on Friday evening. This seems extremely strange to me and I would like to request a second opportunity to apply for this position. My mobile number is 850-776-0255 and my email address is childsrw@gmail.com

Sincerely,

Richard W Childs

I am not a college graduate but have many years experience in the home building business and customer service areas but, I have contacted companies showing openings with no reply ever. The other day I was asked to take a 12 minute test and in 12 minutes they determined I was not qualified to build homes for their company, what is UP. I have had to interview few times in my life for a position and now it seems totally out of hand. If you do not know someone you will not get a chance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

CivilService Testing for jobs

Is the civil service exam still needed for a US post office job? What about for seasonal job openings?

Too long assessments and personality quizes on online applications

I can't stand those quizzes, or online "what would you do" personality behavior tests. I think they are a waste of time, no one ever calls a person back when they do fill them out after 100 of the same question shot off in various ways. And it is weird to think that the places that do have them are the ones that only pay minimum wage or less than part time. ugh, when those pop up . I disregard the application. That tells me that company is going to compare you to what you put in answers. And will test you on the job if you are hired. Not worth the trouble.

Has anyone taken the USPS postal exam? The first part is two parts and it is taken online. Results came back as ineligible for 36 different positiions. You can retest but what is the point of retesting. I would respond to the questions in the same manner. Does anyone have any info on this or had the same experience?

Honesty isn't always the Best Policy

This is what keeps happening every time I try to be truthful and honest with my answers. If there no right and wrong answers then how come I can’t qualify for the job? FedEx, Walmart, and other companies supposedly hiring right now have these online assessments on job application that claim to encourage applicants to respond honestly without leaning answers towards what management would expect only to deny my application because I don’t meet their exam or assessment criteria. I’m I better off just lying? What’s the purpose of these tests if people can manipulate their way into a job?
