A #stressful #PittsburghFilmmakers/PittsburghCenterfortheArts day
Working events is hard and challenging. When you’ve worked several days for someone, given beyond what is required, and not appreciated.
When you have given your very best, strive to make it right, satisfy the client and still go the distance with the same integrity, passion, kindness and service.
Thank you. Joyce Sato

Something great I learned at my job was
I would love to see more families making use of the library. We are constantly reviewing books, removing older books, adding new books.
I wanted to start children’s programs. I’m working on a CAGS in Arts Leadership at PSU, and this seemed a great opportunity to begin an after school program. This is a challenge with our hours: we are open Monday mornings, Tuesday afternoons, Wednesday late afternoons, and as of September 2019 Sunday afternoons.
We succeeded in December to have a STEAM program for children ages k-2. I worked with the Warren Village School principal and children were able to take the bus to the library with their family’s permission.
While music from Annie the Musical played in the background, with books about electricity and the depression, and photos of 1930s-40s Plymouth, NH, the children learned about electricity and created art projects that they illuminated with their new understanding of electric circuits.
Their work will be displayed at the ETC Production of Annie the Musical, this January.

My advice to people interested in working at #GuitarCenter as a #GuitarInsructor ...
Anyone who asked I would tell them they will enjoy it

Singer/Songwriter
Finding jobs as a singer is exceptionally hard because everyone always wants experience. How can I gain experience if no one will hire me due to not having experience?

HHA Member/Art Commissioner
Im looking for a job to help pay, something to work with people since communication is my best key

My advice to people interested in working at #Framebridge as a #QualityInspector ...
They treat their employees well but the hours are grueling especially at peak time and it’s usually not a permanent position!but pay is great and the work isn’t hard just long hours!!!

Finally got a Job!
Finally after 18 months.......
I work as a seasonal sales associate at my favorite store known as Papersource. I had previous expereince there before and knew the managers within one of the locations so she hooked me up with the job. In addition, I work as a part time virtual assistant for someone who owns a book store and i'm currently re designing her website.
It may not be the jobs in my field.. (I'm a graphic designer) but any job is better than no job! Plus I do have an online business I started not too long ago known as Cosmic Funnies and I got incoming customers buying my cute space products so things are getting better.
For those of you who are still looking for work, keep looking and don't give up! In addition grab any job that can pay the bills..that includes freelance...anything..so you can have food on the table.
I thank the Lord my God for helping me through my difficult times as I have been within him since this January and constantly read the word. He does help guys if you ask. Remember book of Job? He was rich and had a huge family until all of that was taken away. He didn't blame God for his misfortunes, he still praised the lord and also felt suicidal as I did during those days. However, after so much pain and suffering, he was rewarded with double of his riches for not giving up.
You can do the same guys. I kept that story in mind as it always pops in whenever I felt distraught and wondering why bad things happen to me.
You can do this! Happy Holidays everyone! :)

Update... Things fall apart...
So, since my last post, I've left my first shift job at Wornick. It left me physically drained. I still work my second shift job at pizza hut as a driver. But that's gonna come to end soon. I'm still in school for audio engineering. I have about one month left there and two before graduation. On top of that, I'm going through a divorce after only three years. It hurts but I'm managing. Life is rough for me right now but I'm only hoping for the best. So for anybody that in a similar situation, don't give up. Put your focus on what you want to do.

What I loved working at #BetterSelfSource
The idea of being my own boss and making the decisions about the content I created and the articles I added to the site.
