What made me stay at #99 Cent Only Stores was

Used to be a great company to work for 5 to 7 years ago. Great CEO, great President, great VPs, great Regional Directors, great DMs. Now all of those people are gone and company is going downhill very fast.

I felt proud to work for #99 Cent Store when...I actually Never felt proud to work for 99 cent store. They lied about the position, that I applied for from the very beginning, making the position sound great, which it Definitely was Not.

Was denied breaks, not enough help. Extremely poor mgmt., who didn't care about their employees. Being Diabetic, I had to eat by a certain time or if not would be feeling sick the rest of the day. It was so bad that, one day I was scheduled 6am-3pm, and I was not given my 30 min. Lunch break until after 1pm,when the next manager was scheduled to come in. So, I was there for 7 hours with no 15 min. break or lunch break , and I complained to the manager on duty & was told that I had to wait. Not a good place to work.

I was driving in San Diego, working towards my $750.00 bonus for hitting 100 rides within 30 days. There was a $1700.00 guarantee offered if I could accomplish this by May 19th (my first ride was given on May 6th). So on the 18th of May, I determined to reach that goal - I had 15 rides to go as of the morning of May 18th......

Later in the afternoon, I had the pleasure of picking Patrick up from the Hyatt in downtown San Diego. He had just flown in from Florida that morning and was on his way to a business dinner/meeting in Encinitas. We talked about his day and about mine - he was ride number 98!

I dropped him off for his meeting and picked up another ride taking me to Leucadia. Ride #99. Then ride #100 went from Leucadia back to Encinitas.

The next ride offered was for a "Patrick" in Encinitas - same place - and yes! same person!! What a pleasure to be able to take him back to San Diego (rush hour traffic this time). I knew the trick to getting back close to his location and appreciated the awesome smile as he got into my back seat.

The biggest compliment a person can give to a driver is to be relaxed enough with their driving to be able to sleep in their car. (Especially with that kind of traffic!)

I had to wake him up when we got to the Hyatt!! He was VERY appreciative and gave me an extra cash tip as well.

Absolutely the most pleasurable memory driving Uber! I have a lot of good and memorable rides - I LOVE driving! #MyDrives
