I really loved working for #50 East remolding because...

My friends brother owns 50 East. And the company I was subcontracting from was spread to thin. Well I found out a guy I used to do Tile with worked there. So it was all friends for over 25 years. family & me...We all had our strengths, and we complamented each other. It was fun to go to work. We all worked hard and did really good work, it hasn't always been that way. So it was nice to be apart of.

50 or older? Watch out for this!!

During an interview make sure to avoid phrases that refer to your “20 or 30 years” of experience. While this much experience is amazing and certainly valuable it will instantly age even the most youthful-looking candidate.

If your kids are in college or older, or if you have grandchildren, try not to mention them during an interview. Instead stick to work topics and stay focused on the company not yourself! This time is best focused on why they should hire you, not about your personal life or things that make you seem older. You'll have plenty of time to chat about your kids after you get the job!

Also, be sure to watch out for those sneaky interview questions designed to determine your year of graduation or your age. Although illegal, these can be brought up in a friendly, casual way, and then potentially used against you. Remember stay on topic and keep the focus on why YOU are great for the company. Good luck!
