As a duct fabricator, I only worked on piralu and fiberglass duct sheets , i have never done any metal ducting [ just to make it known] . However to be successful in duct fabrication is to be able to design and fabricate duct work that makes the customer comfortable, make the job neat and tidy, make the system/systems perform at its requirements and overall efficiency. When you have achieved those requirements then all fabrication is a success

Successfully making it as far as to say ur a fabricator and being able to support and show your work with confidence and the determination to back it up.

Years of knowledge in precision companies will set you aside from the rest. A very good example will be in the aerospace Industry.

Being consistent

In order to be successful as a fabricator you need to hone your skills. Practice makes perfect. Don't settle for less than perfect. Don't hesitate to redo something if it turns out badly. Don't be scared to ask advice. Realize there is more than one way to do something and explore your options. Try to use the best tool for the job. Concentrate on quality not quantity. Never rush or skip steps. The better the prep the better the outcome. Test things on scraps or cheap materials before committing to it on expensive materials. Keep your tools sharp and clean.
