Honestly most cash registers are now computers and if you really don't understand it, someone will train you on how to use them. Big issue I always have is money all facing the same same way together. I don't know how most places do it here in Florida but every time I get change I have to face all the bills the same. And when I was working for puff n snuff also subway up north we had to put all bills in registers like that to.

Actively seeking employment

As long as you treat others as you would want to be treated the other skills will be trained to you. The register let's you know everything you need to know so once your trained on the register everything else should be common sense. It would be good to have some type of math knowledge nothing hard just simple adding and subtracting even though the register is a big calculator you wouldn't want to rely solely on that. Anything can happen and you should be able to give customers back there correct change so they leave satisfied and so your draw doesn't come up short.
